I woke up that morning still half asleep not remembering what my mom said the nigh before. I walked downstairs and my mom was walking out of her room brushing her hair quickly.
"What are you doing?" She says "we're going to be late!"
Then I remember. I run back upstairs put on some jeans and a grey shirt with a horse on it that says. "Can't be tamed won't be tamed" then put on my boots and ran downstairs. I just grabbed a banana and ran out to where my mom had just hooked the trailer up to out truck and we drove off to pick up Hailey.
"Hey, you ready" I said as we walked back to the car
"I can't wait to meet your new horse" she answered "how tall is he?"
"Oh he's about 16.2 hands." My mom replied "so quite tall but stocky too"
"Cool I like tall horses," I say remembering the horse I used to lease at my barn last year named Foxey. She was a reddish mare with white socks and a stripe down her face, she was 16 hands exact. When we moved she got sold so I couldn't buy her.
When we got there I jumped out of the car and so did Hailey. A woman walked out of the barn and said "you must be Annabelle, Danger's new owner"
"Yep that's me! And I can't wait to meet him" I said existed to meet my new horse. She lead us to the cross ties in the barn and I see the most beautiful horse ever. He was tall, and he had huge feathers, he was a light bay with unique white stripes on him. I fell in love.
"He sure is stunning" Hailey took the words right out of my mouth.
"Ya I can't wait to ride him"
"He ties, leads, loads, just fine stands still to tack up and is ok for the farrier but just takes a minute to pick up his feet. We haven't had many riders on him because we can no longer afford to keep him here." The lady said.
"That's ok," my mom answered "he'll get lots of love and attention at his new home."
Yes he will, I though.I hope you guys like this book so far I can't wait to publish the next part and show you who Danger really is.
