Over the next few weeks, mine and Danger's schedule stayed fairly consistent. On Mondays we worked on hunter jumper, Wednesday was for Cross country, endurance, or Dressage, Friday was one of the other two we didn't work on on Wednesday, Saturday was whatever I felt like doing, more training, trail rides, or having Hailey and/or Grace over with their horses. Tuesdays I had tutoring, Thursday my parents worked late and Zoey helped out at tutoring so I didn't want to risk anything happening to me or Danger while no one was home, and Sunday was family day.
Today I went out and worked on dressage as that was something Danger wasn't very good at. (please forgive me, I don't know much about dressage) We walked into our arena and I pushed Danger into an extended trot, when we got to A we went into a counter canter then back into a collected trot at C. At E I tried to get Danger half pass but he just pulled forward on the bit, I tried again and he reared up a bit before just turning that way.
When we got back into an extended trot I turned him back towards E and tried the half pass again, this time he didn't even try to refuse. I smiled and pet his neck "good boy Danger" I praised. Then we continued to X and saluted although no one was there, then walked out of the arena.
I hopped off him and hugged his neck "that has to be one of our best practices!" I smiled and led him to the fence to untack then over to the small wash stall for a quick rinse.
Once I had put him in his stall I grabbed my phone and saw a few texts in mine, Grace, and Hailey's group chat.
GRACE: Hey girls! I was wondering if you wanted to come to my house for a sleep over then come to my show with me in the morning?
HAILEY: That sounds like fun! My mom says I can go
GRACE: great! What about you Belle
BELLE: hey! sorry I was out riding Danger. I have to go ask my mom but if I can do you guys still have that extra stall so I can bring Danger to get more experience in the show setting?
I set my phone down on the table and went to find my mom. I found her sitting in her room reading.
"Hey Mom" I said as I walked in "Grace wanted to know if I could sleep over tonight then go to her show tomorrow morning. Oh and if her parents are ok with it I'm going to bring Danger so he can come to the show"
My mom looked up from her book and said, "sure! But only bring Danger if her parents are ok with that. Come back whenever as your father and I will be at work all day and Zoey is spending the day with her boyfriend all day tomorrow"
"Great, thank you so much" I smiled and walked up to her bed and hugged her, "I'll go get mine and Danger's stuff ready then wait in the car."
I walked back to my phone;
GRACE: My mom says that's fine, just bring him when you come!
BELLE: Great! I'm going to gather mine and his things then head over
GRACE: K see you then
Hailey: I'll be over in about 15 min
BELLE: See you all there.
