When I wake up the next morning I go straight outside to see Danger. "Hey boy", I say "are you ready to get to work?" In response I get a snort. I grab Danger's red and blue halter, put it on and hook the lunge line to it.
"Ok Danger, time to get some work in" I try to situate myself in holding it and being ready to pull him to a stop. I finally get a good grip of the lead in my hand with the cast and have my other had ready to turn or stop him.
Danger learns what I want him to do within a few minutes.
"Good boy!" I praise him.
I lunge him for abut one hour before I take the halters off and try free lungeing him. That doesn't go to well at first. He dose go around me, but he bucks like every five seconds. After about and hour of trying that he finally gets it but I let him stop and I put the halters with the lunge on it again and take him to the arena and set up a jump.
"Ok boy I'm just going to walk you over this." He dose it with no problem. We go to about a 6 inch cross rail where it is too difficult for me to step over and hold the lead all at once, so I have him lunge it. The first thee or four times Danger just goes inside the jump, but after that he dose it very well.
"Good boy. You are an amazing jumper." After I get him to jump an 18 inch jump I stop and put him in the pasture with Cardinal.
