I grabbed my bag of stuff and threw it into my mom's car then went out to grab Danger's jumping tack. I put that in the tack part of our small two horse trailer then went to load him into the trailer.
Danger loads very easily and just walks right in. "Good boy" I say with a smile before closing the door and locking it. I got into the truck as my mom started it.
I walked up to Grace's door and knocked, holding a bag of my stuff.
"Hey" she smiled and hugged me
"Hi! Can I set my bag here then unload Danger and his things?"
"of course" she said taking my bag as Hailey walked up
"Hey! let me come help you with his tack" she said and stepped outside.
"Thanks, I'll go get him out and head around the back"
I led Danger into Grace's extra stall in their barn and made sure to lock it as I came out. "Alright Danger here's some hay for your dinner" I said as I threw a bale into the feeder. "I'll see you tomorrow when its time to eat and get ready to leave", I smiled and kissed his nose.
Then I walked inside with Grace who was feeding her horse, Ace. We walked into the kitchen where Hailey had made the three of us grilled cheese.
"Welcome back inside" she smiled and pushed plates towards us "dinner is served. Grace I hope your parents don't mind that I used their kitchen"
"I'm sure they won't mind as long as it gets cleaned up" Grace replied taking a bite of her food. I smiled and then took a bite of mine.
"So are you and Ace ready for tomorrow?" I asked "and is it the show at the barn Michelle owns?"
"I hope I'm ready, we've been practicing for three weeks. Also yes it is, I'm sure she'll let you use one of the extra arenas"
"Nice, I can't wait" I smiled "I've actually been thinking about taking him to the next show, just an eventers 'greens' class with dressage, cross country, and show jumping"
"Are you sure he's ready?" Hailey asked as she got her food finished, "He still seems a bit iffy at dressage"
"Ya he is but that's why I'd put him in the greens class" I replied with a shrug "anyways, you guys should help me enter him and pick a show name as he doesn't have one."
Grace smiled and jumped up "I'll get my laptop!" And with that she ran up to her room to grab her laptop.
Not long later she came back and sat down in her seat. "Alright, I have the sign up. First we need your name, Annabelle Blackwell, done. Now Danger's show name"
"I haven't really come up with one yet, any ideas?" I asked
We all sat in thought when, about two minutes later Hailey jumped up, "I know! What about Danger Zone?"
I smiled "That's a great one, I love it"
''Alright" Grace said, returning to the form, "'Danger Zone' got it. Next is what class or classes you will be doing"
"Greens eventing" I replied "plus the show jumping flat class"
"what height of jumps, it determines what level the rest of the classes are"
"just 18' I don't want to push him much as it is his first show"
Grace put the information in "great. Oh! I forgot to put in your age, 16. There we're all done"
Hailey yawed "let's get upstairs and go to sleep, Grace has a big day tomorrow and Belle and I need to be ready to make you and Ace look amazing"
I nodded "That sounds like a great idea."
