When I wake up the next morning I see blood to my left. At first I thought it was mine but I wasn't hurt then I saw something. It was a snake. It looked like something had stepped on it and that something was a horse. I turned around and saw Danger's stall open but it wasn't broken, I must have forgotten to lock it last night.
"Did you save me boy." He neighed as if to say yes. I jump up and give him a big hug. I then feed both horses and run inside.
"Mom. Dad"
"Oh there you are sweetie." My mom says
"You can't let Danger go."
"Honey we decided this morning that he's going to the kill pens."
"Wait but just last night I fell asleep out there and he killed a snake."
"How do you know he killed it" my dad asked
"Because there was a draft horse sized hoof print on the snakes side" I replied.
My parents say nothing then they tell me I can try again when my arm heals in six weeks and if I can ride him, I can keep him.
"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!" I shout and jump up and give them both a big hug.The next week is the day of mine and Hailey's birthday party and I just put on my new clothes I got from my parents and sister this morning. I was wearing, a white base t-shirt that Hailey and I both got, with a painted version on Danger's head the says, "Team Danger" at the bottom, with some boot cut jeans with little patters of flowers on them in a light purple stitch. And finally some new brown boots. I head downstairs and find my everyone except Hailey down there.
"Hey where's Hails?" Grace asks
"She's upstairs getting changed then we can start."When the party's over Hailey is the last to leave.
"Bye" I say giving her a big hug "see you tomorrow"
