I walked Danger over to the cross country course and waited for my name to be called. Danger and I are the third to go, it was just a short course as this was not a very advanced class.
"Annabelle Blackwell," a lady with a clip board said "your on deck". I nodded and walked Danger up to the start box. I looked over for a moment and the lady began conunting down, "three, two, one, go!"
At that, Danger took off at a fast canter towards the first jump, a small wall. He sailed over it with ease and went at a steady pace to the next one, a gate.
There were a few more jumps and he got a really small distance on some of them and hit a few jumps, we got through the course in a pretty good time but it defiantly wasn't the best run. We ended up with a fifth place. Now it was time for our best class, show jumping!
"Annabelle Blackwell and Danger Zone" the announcer said and we entered the ring. I had Danger pick up a steady canter and headed to the first jump. It was green and yellow with white standards. Danger jumped over with ease and cantered to the next one.
The next two were purple and white in a line which was a fairly simple thing. The rest of the course was also easy and sometimes it was like Danger just stepped over it. We headed to the last jump and circled as we closed and walked out of the ring.
I walked Danger to his water bucket to let him get a drink after the amazing round. Some of the riders had good rounds and others, not so much. Soon it was time to announce the placings.
"Now for the show jumping placings," the announcer said, "in third place, we have Alice Hemmings riding Requiem." The rider who went before me walked up to the ribbon booth. "In second place we have Ginger Lin riding Frostbite." A girl with red hair and a flea bitten grey handed her horse to another rider and walked to the booth. "and in first place, we have Annabelle Blackwell riding Danger"
I smiled and hugged my horse before handing him to my mom to go get my ribbon. I was handed the blue ribbon with a horse jumping on the front, as all the ribbons had. I walked back up to Danger and gave him another hug, "I'm so proud of you! You did so well and next time I think your ready for the advanced classes"

Hey! So this book will be ending with in the next two to three chapters. I love writing about Annabelle and Danger but for 'book 2' I will be incorporating my OC Hope who is based very much off of me and I'm really excited to start writing. I'm still not sure anyone is reading this but it's fun for me. Hope anyone who is reading this is enjoying it but it will be over soon but the journey will continue!
