Runaway Dad (Under Revision)

Weeks have gone by, we had to live with our new routine. Gabriella's doing well adjusting with us and has been so hands-on with our kids.  My work hours had been changed because of our everyday set-up. In the morning, the kids go to school, and Gabriella sometimes stops by her boutique and is taking turns with her siblings to visit their mother and father. Nakasanayan na rin na bumisita sa hospital bago kami umuwi sa kanya-kanyang bahay. My father-in-law was just making out the most of his remaining days with all of us. On weekends, we make sure we went outside for picnics, camping, going on family dates, and sometimes just in our home, binge-watching movies with our kids.

We look forward to each day with hopefulness; I always remind Gabriella to enjoy each day and be grateful that we're all now together; we may be dealing with his father's illness, but we must remain positive at all times.

I can also see improvements in the relationships between the siblings. William was still undergoing hearings, and although he despises me, we can now stay in one room for an extended period of time for the sake of their father. My wife still loathes them, and she was simply being civil at a time when they needed to be civil.

"Dad!"

I opened the passenger seats window and saw Finn running towards the car with Belle "Magandang gabi po Sir Kent," bati nito at pinagbuksan si Finn ng pinto ng kotse para makapasok. Napangiti naman ako "Good evening Belle, how's Benny? Okay na ba siya?"

"Opo, may mali lang ata po sa kinain. Nawala na daw po dahil sa vix."

I nodded "Okay that's good, call me kapag sumakit ulit so we could send him to our hospital. Wag mahihiya."

Tumango ito at ginulo ang buhok ni Finn "Salamat sa pag bisita!"

"Bye ate Belle!"

I drove away from their house, looking at Finn, who still has a worried expression on his face despite smiling after saying goodbye. "You still worried, bud?"

Finn looked at me and nodded, "Yeah, I've never seen him in such pain before."

"Does his stomach ever ache?"

"No, until recently," he shook his head, "should we help them, dad?"

"Okay, I'll call his father later, and I'll call your tito Kirk to accommodate them," I said, nodding.

"Thanks, Dad!" he said with a smile.

I had to take Finn to the hospital, where his other siblings and mom were as I have to attend a very important meeting.

"Will you join us for dinner?" Gabriella asked as she kissed me on the lips.

I shook my head "No bub sorry, I have to go now. It's about the.."

"Yes yes, I understand," she smiled and touched my cheeks as she prepared the take-home foods Finn and I had bought.

Nagmano at nangamusta lang ako kay tita mom and tito dad and the kids before leaving again. I drove to one of the best Italian restaurants and found two people waiting for me there.

"Sir Kent Verano.." the man says.

I smiled as they both stood up and offered me a handshake "Hi, Stick and Stone right?" I asked.

The couple smiled "Our pleasure to be your wedding planner.."

I smiled and called the waiter and begin with the talk. One week ago when I realized that clock is ticking, and I had to have a surprise wedding renewal with my wife, Gabriella. She doesn't know anything about this. Ang tanging nakakaalam lang ay ang magulang naming dalawa, si Hens and Elle, ang assistant niya na si Care at ang mga kapatid ko. Bukod sa gusto kong masaksihan ng daddy niya ang muling pagpapakasal naming dalawa,   I want to own her again, tell the world that she is my wife, and it has always been her.
