Christian Brooks
A Couple Days Later

I sat in Jordyn's car as she ran inside her restaurant to handle something quickly. While she did that, I decided to try and see what was causing these bad dreams she's having. It happened again last night and once again she mentioned rape.

Picking up my phone, I dialed Aaron.

He picked up on the third ring. "If you ain't calling to tell me you hit, I don't want to hear it." He said.

I shook my head. "Shut up fool. I need you to do me a favor."

"Wassup."

"Try and see if you can find any rape cases involving Jordyn."

"Why you want me to look at that? She put here raping niggas too? Damn that bitch heartless."

"No fool, Just do it man. It's important."

"Alright. If I find anything I'll email it to you."

"Thanks. I gotta go man."

"Alright."

I hung up and placed my phone in the cup holder. I would've told him the whole story but then he'd start suspecting shit and I don't have time for that. The passenger door opened but instead of it being Jordyn it was Cliff.

"Well if it isn't officer Christian Brooks." He said climbing in. I gotta beat his ass before this is all over.

"Here you go with that police shit."

"I know a pig when I see one."

"If that's the case why haven't you said anything to Jordyn? If I was a cop I'd be crazy as hell. That's like committing suicide just by putting myself into this predicament."

"She'll figure it out on her own so I don't have to tell her."

"Whatever man."

"What you getting out of trying to take my sister down? A promotion? You know you putting yourself into a very dangerous situation."

"I hope you really smarter than you look and I don't take threats too lightly."

"Good."

"Even though I shouldn't be telling you shit, I do need to talk to you about something. It's about your sister."

He quickly looked at me. "What about her?"

"She has these nightmares. She's jumping up out of her sleep, screaming and crying and she mentions rape."

His jaw clinched. "You sure she's saying rape?"

"Positive. My hearing is close to perfect."

He nodded. "We didn't have the easiest childhood. My sister has been through a lot and that's why it's hard for her for trust anybody."

"I understand."

"You really don't. Imagine being homeless at the age of 7 trying to take care of your baby sister and protect her from niggas that like little girls. And imagine failing at that. And then that keeps happening. Trust me, You'll never understand."

All I could do was nod because he's right. I couldn't even imagine going through some shit like that.

"If it happens again, let me know." Cliff said.

"I will."

"Don't let anything happen to my sister Brooks." With that he got out the car and headed back inside.
