Christian Brooks

Tank and I sat in the truck waiting for Jordyn to come out the house. Today was her brother Michael's birthday so they were throwing him a party at a club in the city. I didn't want to go but Tank forced me out the house.

I've been avoiding Jordyn and she avoids me.

"So you and Jordyn beefed out again?" Tank asked.

"I'm just giving her space."

"Space?"

"Yeah."

"What made you decide to give her space?"

"I guess you can say that I finally saw that demon you were talking about. I tried to help but that was pointless."

"Look man, I've been around a lot longer than you have and I just came to the conclusion that you just gotta let Jordyn do whatever the hell she wants. She hard headed and don't listen to nobody but her damn self."

"So just sit back and let her basically kill her self with drugs?"

"You make it sound worse than it is."

"If you really cared about Jordyn you'd do everything you can to help stop this before she end up overdosing or something."

"Those feelings you keep lying about is really starting to show. You care about her huh?"

I just looked out the window.

"It's cool you ain't gotta admit it cause I already know." He laughed.

"She a cool chick when she ain't bitching about something. I just wish she'd focus more instead of giving up so easily."

"Brooks you might be the person to get her to change her crazy ways man."

"Naw I give up. I can only help so much."

He shook his head. Eventually Jordyn came out. She looked good as hell but those red eyes killed everything. She climbed in the back seat of the car.

"You good J?" Tank asked her.

"Yeah, yeah I'm good."

I just looked at him.

"At least you tried Brooks." With that he pulled off. I sunk down in my seat and started texting Sadie. I hope this night don't get crazy.

At The Club

I leaned over the balcony and watched as everybody below us partied. The club scene has never been my thing. Maybe it's because I usually don't have time to go out.

Everybody else seemed to be enjoying themselves though.

I glanced over at Jordyn who was past drunk, she twerked on some chick she brought up to VIP.

A tap on my arm grasped my attention, I looked over at her oldest brother Michael.

"You enjoying yourself?" He asked.

"I guess so, happy birthday man."

"Thank you. Where ya drinks at?"

"I'm good, as fucked up as Jordyn is I don't think me drinking is a good idea."

"How is it, working for her?"

"It has it good days and it's bad days. We aren't really on the best terms right now. I try to help and she just pushes me away."

"That's just because she's not used to having help. She's so damn independent. On top of that she's stubborn as hell. So what did you try to help with?"
