Jordyn Edwards

Michael and I sat in Cliffs living room waiting for him to come out of his room. He called both of us this morning saying that he had a plan to get our money back.

I love Cliff with all my heart, I really do, but sometimes he doesn't use his brain. He just does shit that I end up having to pay for and he constantly thinks that violence is going to solve everything.

With the police on my ass now, I can't take any chances or do anything crazy. I'll hear what he has to say but I'm 1000% sure it's something crazy.

Cliff finally came out his room and sat across from us.

"About time." Michael said.

"Shut up." Cliff responded. "So I've been thinking of how we can get our money back."

"And I'm extremely anxious to hear what you have to say." I said.

"I say we take it back." Cliff suggested.

"Take it back?" I questioned.

"I looked into this Officer Rhodes and his parents got more than enough money. I say we set something up to get our shit back. If we don't have the money for our products by the end of these 3 months Jordyn we all fucked."

"When you say set something up, I need to know exactly what you mean?" Michael said.

"It's either we rob them motherfuckas, scam our way into getting this money. Or we kidnap their son and get our money back."

"No." I said.

"No?" Cliff repeated.

"You heard me. All of those ideas are stupid as hell. Officer Rhodes parents are judges! And if we kidnap their son and the ransom just so happens to be the amount that was taken from us, don't you think that'll give it away?"

"Exactly." Michael said.

"We can ask for more they won't catch on to us. Trust me. Sometimes you gotta do whatever it takes to get what you need Jordyn. We need this money."

"Honestly we don't." I said. "You know what Cliff, for a minute I felt like you did, I was ready to do whatever the fuck it takes to get my money and drugs back. But now that the police are involved, we're walking on eggshells. Then I thought about something else, 300,000 dollars is nothing to me. I can get that out of one of my accounts and be perfectly fine and that's exactly what I'm going to do."

"Man when did you become so soft?" He asked.

"It ain't about being soft Cliff." Michael jumped in. "Don't you enjoy living freely? Do you want to spend the rest of your life in cage? For once in your life I need you to use your fucking brain. Our warehouse was raided, somebody is watching us. If we do anything that involves that cop, it's going to be obvious as that we set it up man. I'm not trying to go to prison and I'm not about to let one of your dumb ass ideas put me there. So here's a smarter idea. We split the money. 100,000 ain't hurting nobody."

When he said that Cliff put his head down.

"Right Cliff?" Michael asked.

He scratched his head then looked at Michael. "I just don't think we should give up our hard earned money."

"I'm starting to think you don't have the money." I said.

"Don't worry about that."

"Cliff I got all you bank information, I can find out."

"Ima grown ass man, I don't need you checking my financials."

I shook my head. "Fuck it me and Michael will split it and you'll pay us back."
