Two Weeks Later

This house has been quiet. Jordyn won't leave her room, she hasn't said a word to anybody. Everybody keeps trying to ask what was wrong, I've been wanting to let them know but the last time I did, it caused problems.

Because I know what happened, I thought she'd be comfortable around me but eventually she shut me out too.

I sat in the living room playing COD with Tank and Cliff. He's finally starting to loosen up around me. Proving to him that I wasn't a cop was becoming hard but he's finally letting up.

My captain is on my fucking back though. They think the snitch that told on Jordyn might've been exaggerating about how dangerous she is and that we're wasting our time. But he wasn't and we're not.

As much as I know that I should just go ahead and turn Jordyn in, I'm just not ready to yet. I'm honestly getting comfortable here and I shouldn't be.

"Chris, I think you know what's going on with my sister man." Cliff said, breaking me away from my thoughts.

"I'm keeping my mouth shut. Last time I told something she hated me."

"This is serious though, she's been locked up in her room for two fucking weeks. What's going on?"

"Cliff if you wanna know, go make her tell you." Tank said.

"Just like she told me about those nightmares?! If I find out somebody hurt my sister and y'all kept it away from me, Ima be pissed."

I sat back and took a deep breath. "Ima go check on her." I got up and headed upstairs. I knocked on her door. "Jordyn."

"Come in."

Surprised that she answered I walked in and climbed on the bed next to her. She was lying there watching Ridiculousness. I don't see how Chanel West Coast got the worst fucking laugh.

"Feeling better today?" I asked.

"I feel the same."

"And that is?"

"My life was easier when I was cold hearted and treated niggas like they ain't shit cause they ain't."

"So how long do you plan on staying up here? Your brother is down my back about what happened to you."

"Tell him to mind his business."

"You didn't answer my question."

"I plan on staying up here until the day I die."

"Don't be like that. You can't let him get the best of you man."

"I'm not."

"What you think locking yourself up in your room is doing Jordyn?"

"Why do you even care?!"

"Because from the time that I've known you, I realized that you're a strong woman. I'm not about to let some weak ass nigga break you from that."

"Every strong woman has a breaking point. It's like I was reliving those horrible moments from when I was younger. My nightmares had came true. I can't let that happen again."
