Before we left for Virginia tomorrow, we had decided to go out and turn up one time. It was Jordyn's best friend Meka's birthday so I know it's probably about to get crazy.

But I needed this.

An entire week back home is something I gotta mentally prepare myself for. My momma constantly down my back, my dad being annoying. On top of all that, I'm just praying that nobody slips up and blows my cover.

And not only am I stressing about this trip, me breaking up with Sadie didn't go as smoothly as I thought it would either and she threatened to let Jordyn know who I really am. She claims that she knew that I'd do this to her once she met Jordyn. She could tell something was going on when she saw how uncomfortable Jordyn was when I brought her over.

And on top of that, I told my captain about this trip and he don't think it's a good idea. He doesn't really know that I'm going to visit family. I told him it was something to do with this case.

Man, I feel like I'm in the deepest hole that I've ever been in. When all this shit blows up in my face, things are going to get ugly.

We pulled up to a strip Club in the Bronx. It was packed as hell. I watched as Tank pulled ziplock bags with stacks of money from under the seat. He grabbed at least 5,000.

"Last time we went out, I made you look out for J but tonight you get to have some fun." He said.

"Say no more." I got out the car and helped Jordyn, then we headed inside. We got over to VIP and it was barely room, but of course they saved a booth for Jordyn. As soon as she sat down she ordered bottles.

"Jordyyyyy, you're here!" Meka yelled coming over to us. She had on a crazy ass outfit with a crazy ass wig.

"Happy Birthday boo."

They hugged.

Meka turned to me. "Well look who we have here. Hello there bodyguard."

"Wassup Meka, happy birthday." I said.

"Thank you." She bit down on her lip. I glanced over at Jordyn who's jaw was clinched. "I hope y'all ready to turn up."

After that she walked away. Jordyn sat down and pulled a dime bag and rellos out her purse. I sat next to her.

"Don't worry, it's not laced." She spoke up reading my mind. "I promised you I wouldn't do that anymore. I keep my promises."

I just stared at her while licking my lips.

She looked so fucking good tonight.

"Look what we having here." Cliff said standing in front of us. "If it isn't Killer Brooks and my baby sister."

I took a deep breath and sat back. "Nice to see you too Cliff."

"Right, we thought you were dead." Jordyn said.

"Naw, just needed to relax for a little while, but I'm all better now." He smirked.

"I'm glad to hear that. We'll be getting back to work soon. I hope you're ready."

"I'm always ready baby sis."
