Jordyn Edwards

My phone buzzed on the counter, as another threatening text from Rhodes came through. I was getting more and more pissed off, I really want this nigga dead.

I've changed my number 3 times but he manages to find my new number. I'm not changing it again, it's time to take some action.

"Wassup Big head." Chris said walking into the kitchen with Tank not too far behind him.

"Hey C, hello Tank."

"Wassup Jordyn."

"It's good to see you out your room." Chris said.

I just looked at him and smiled. "I have a big surprise for the both of you."

"It better be a damn raise." Tank joked. I flipped him off then walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed what I needed.

"I'm cooking my favorite Jamaican food for you guys tonight! Oxtails with Broad beans and rice."

"About damn time!" Tank said.

He's been begging me for months to cook but I never had time.

"Just a warning Chris, this food is about to be amazing so don't try to marry me after you eat this." I winked at him.

"Oh so y'all not hiding the fact that y'all like each other no more?" Tank asked.

"Hush man." Chris laughed.

"You should invite Sadie over." I suggested to him.

"No Jordyn."

"Why not?!!! Why are you hiding her from me?"

"I'm not."

"Don't bring her C, I brought a bad bitch over here one day and later that night she ended up in Jordyn's bed." Tank told him.

I laughed, Chris just looked at me surprised.

"Damn Jordyn I didn't know you was doing shit like that! You really ain't meeting her now!"

"I'm not thinking about men or women right now so you're safe." I smirked while I started prepping my food.

"Still not inviting her. You'll meet her one day just not today."

"She must be ugly, you keep her hidden." I said.

"Naw, it's just too soon."

"Mmhm." Rolling my eyes I started getting out pots and pans.

"Maybe he just don't want his girl to realize he feeling his boss." Tank joked.

Since my back was turned I let a huge smile peel across my face.

"Here you go." Chris said.

"She has nothing to worry about Tank. Chris and I are just friends and employer/employee. Nothing more."

"A blind man could see that it's something there. But okay, y'all can keep pretending." He said. "I'm about to go jump in the shower. Let me know when the food done."

I nodded then he walked away. Brooks walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed a water then sat on a stool next to me.

"Why does everybody think we're secretly in love with each other?" He asked.
