Home sweet home.

Virginia was....eh. Towards the end is when I started having a good time. Christians mom insisted that I stay in touch with her, so she gave me her number. His dad loosened up a little bit. It seemed like Chris enjoyed being around his parents.

But now that I'm back home, it's time to get back to work. The meeting with Cardo is next week and I can't wait to get this shipment in. Lately I've been feeling like I've fell all the way off. The respect for me isn't the same. It's time I remind people that I still run shit.

This was just a setback for a major comeback!

Today I was meeting with my brothers and our main distributors. With our warehouse being raided, we gotta tighten up on how we move things. NYPD used to be running for us and now they're enemy number one. You can never trust a pig.

Tank and I pulled up to my restaurant for the meeting. Speaking of Tank, I've really missed him. I've been up under Chris and he's been taking care of his mom a lot. No matter what he's still my right hand man.

"So how was the trip?" Tank asked.

"It was....okay, I guess."

"Why just okay?"

"Things got a little heated between Brooks and I, but I'm over it."

"Y'all stay arguing man. What was it about this time?"

I took a deep breath. I've been trying to push this whole lying fiasco to the back of my mind because of my feelings for Brooks but something just isn't right and I can't quite put my finger on it.

"This whole situation about him being a cop." I said. "He says he isn't and I don't think he's lying."

"Alright so why you stressing it?"

"Because even though he might not be a cop, something just doesn't feel right."

"If you find out he is a cop, how would you react?"

"Honestly I don't know, I'd probably kill him."

"You not gone kill that man, you're in love with him. I don't think he a cop. He just come from a different background that's why shit seems weird. The person you need to be keeping an eye on is your brother."

"Who Cliff?"

"J, something ain't right. I've told you plenty of times that he would cross you and I just feel like he will soon or he gone get everybody caught up in some bullshit."

"It's crazy that you said that because he has been on my mind like crazy. We haven't really seen eye to eye ever since I told him I didn't want to kill Rhodes."

"What happened to Rhodes?"

"Cliff had Brooks kill him to prove that he wasn't a cop."

"Damn, I really been missing out."

"Yeah, you have. I miss having you around Tank."

"Whatever, you been so busy knocking boots with Brooks, I didn't even think you realized I was gone."

I laughed. "Fuck you."

We climbed out the car and headed inside. The meeting was being held in the back of course. A whole bunch of drug dealers sitting a table in the front would be really stupid.

When I got in our private room everybody stopped talking. I went and hugged my brothers before sitting at the head of the table.

"It's been a long three months without no product J, I hope you got some good news for us." One of the workers said.
