"No Long Talk"

"What you thinking bout?" Reese asked as we drove in the car on our way to his place.

We had picked Asia up from the station and she was fast asleep in the backseat. Her hands were clasped around McDonald kids meal box as she slept.

"Everything, what if he loses custody over Asia? What if he can't get her back" I rambled as multiple thoughts crossed my mind.

"He's not, Ima figure something out" he said glancing over at me.

"Can I ask you a something?"

"You just did and the answer is no" he replied making me straight face him. One thing that annoyed me about Reese was that he was either too serious or played entirely too much. There was rarely a balance and I wanted to smack the shit out of him half the time.

"Can you not?" I rolled my eyes.

"Ask what you asking before I change my mind?"

"Do you trust Rhyan?" I asked deciding not to beat around the bush. The way she was acting at the house was bothering me.

"Where you come from with that?" He asked as his brows furrowed.

"At the house earlier, why was she there? There was no car in the drive way now that I think about it so how she got i-" I couldn't even finish my statement as the sharp did a sharp u-turn.

"Why you didn't say some shit before? I was wondering why she was there too. She wasn't with Marcellus so something's up"

"I don't know. You think she-"

"I don't even know man. Rhyan been acting funny lately. Thought it was because I told her I wasn't fucking her anymore"

"Okay I didn't need to know all of that." I shook my head. Who Reese decided to have relations or not have relations with was none of my business.

"I'm just saying, why you over there looking like that. Better not throw up or no shit in my car" he said glancing at me every two seconds.

"It's that time of the month and I have cramps and those pain relievers I took earlier are wearing off" I said smiling as a look of disgust came across his face. Since I took the relievers earlier, the pain wasn't as bad, and I was thankful for that. Some days the pain would be too much and I could hardly move.
