"Nothings Into Somethings"

Nayeli

I pulled up to the gas station that Armani said she was at. Looking around, it didn't take long for me to spot her. She was sitting on the curb with her head in her hands. Her small frame was visibly shaking in the attire that barely covered her skin. The once thick and healthy looking chocolate girl was now small and frail.

Scoping out the area, I didn't see any suspicious cars or people. Although I had came out here, I was still skeptical about Armani. A few cars were getting gas and some people were parking and walking into the store. Pulling up alongside the curb, I honked my horn to get her attention. Armani jumped at the sound and looked around with widen eyes until she saw me.

"Get in" I called out. She smiled looking shocked that I actually showed up. I was surprised myself because one the way here I was contemplating turning around.

"Nayeli I swear I'll do better" she began to promise me as she came to the passenger door. I honestly didn't want to hear anything, actions were what showed.

"Armani if you go off again-I can't be there again, I can't put myself through this emotional distress to save you again." I said letting her know this was my first and only time doing this for her.

"I haven't spoken to Peter today, I'm surprised he hasn't blown up my phone with threats today, he usually does. Maybe that's a good thing, maybe he'll leave me alone" she looked down fiddling with her hands.

"Yeah because he seems like the type, lets go" I said unlocking the doors for her to get in. She quickly got in and I locked the doors and pulled off immediately. I began the drive and followed the directions I set on my gps.

"Wait where are we going? This isn't the way to-" she began to speak looking out the window. I knew she wouldn't recognize the drive because we weren't going somewhere familiar.

"Armani, I'm not bringing you to where I stay at" I hoped that's not what she was thinking when she decided to text me. I told her I would help her but on my own terms.

"He don't want me there right?" She mumbled.

"I don't want you there, you've lost most of my trust so you lucky I'm even out here helping you" I said being honest.

"So where you taking me? A hotel? Motel?" She asked as we were nearing the place that I was bringing her to.

"No, I know some people and I've found a place that will be good for you" I said as we pulled up to the building. She looked out the window and quickly shook her head in disagreement.
