"Sooner Than Later"
Nayeli
⚜️Scrunching my eyebrows up in confusion I listened closely to the voices. I couldn't place the second voice but the first voice was definitely a voice that I knew.
"This a girls room, he ain't say shit about no kids living here" the familiar voice spoke.
"Man fuck that shit, I'll put a hot one in that lil bitch too"
"You would kill an innocent child?"
"Wrong place wrong time my nigga"
"That's fucked up"
"This world fucked up, you gotta be hard. Stop acting like a bitch, I thought this is what you wanted"
I didn't know who that other voice belonged to but he was annoying as hell. I could tell he was a ruthless asshole and he didn't give a fuck about anybody but himself.
I decided to confirm my suspicion on the voice so I told Marcellus to hold on while I dialed another number. I chewed my lips as it rung and gasped when I heard a phone go off at the same time.
"Fuck is that?"
"My phone" the familiar voice answered.
"You brought your phone with you nigga? You better erase anything that could pin your location?" the other voice said.
"My location and shit is off. I ain't stupid nigga, let's dip ain't shit in this room" the voice said as the footstep receded from the closet.
"Joel?" I whispered as soon as my suspicion was confirmed. A million thoughts were running through my head, the main one being: why the hell was he here?
"Who's Joel?" Asia asked. I put my fingers to my lips telling her to be quiet for a moment.
"No one stay right here" I said as I slowly opened the latch and pushed the door up. I couldn't open it that much because of the couch but I could see that they were gone. Closing it back, I quickly took Marcellus of hold.
"Marcellus where's Reese?" I asked. I hoped Joel would get out of here before they arrived, I knew they didn't play when it came to shit like this. Marcellus was charming and sweet but when it came to business and protecting his family, he was heartless.
"He should be there already or pulling up soon with some niggas. I'm on my way there now, these niggas got another thing coming if they think they gon come where my daughter be at and try some shit"
