"Unforgettable"

"A month?" I grinned.
I sat across from Marcellus smiling as he talked about possibly getting out earlier. He was almost done serving his 18 month sentence.
"Yeah so that means one more month and I'm out of this bitch. Hope my time don't get extended" he sighed looking around.
"Why would it get extended?" I asked.
"They be in here hating when they see somebody getting out. They try to fight with you and get your time extended. Some of them in here serving life sentences or 20 years so a couple months added on they sentence ain't nothing to them." He explained making me frown. It was said that grown ass men carried themselves that way.
"I hate people" I shook my head.
"Yeah but who cares about what's going on in here, how you and you schooling going?" He asked changing topic.
"I'm going back to school to work on getting my Masters" I smiled proud of what I had been accomplishing. If things kept going good then I could be looking at an internship with Google.
"Look at my fine ass baby mama, out here snatching degrees and shit" he said doing a little dance. I smiled covering my face because he caught he attention of other visitors.
"Shutup and yeah Joel has to go in for surgery soon, they thought he could function without but he honestly isn't caring for his health. Asia is so smart, she's going to be six soon"
"Damn your brother tripping and yeah, I'm mad I missed her 5th birthday. At least I'll be there for her 6th. Gonna do something big for her" he nodded looking deep in thought.
"You need to stay to yourself until your release date" I warned him.
"Easier said then done" he shrugged eyeing this female guard.
"Yeah, I'm mad visitation time is almost over" I pouted hating that this was how things had to be. I considered Marcellus to be like a best friend and it sucked seeing him in here.
"I feel like you keeping something from me baby mama" he squinted making me roll my eyes. Reese and I had been going strong but for some reason, I never told Marcellus.
"Asia really misses you" I replied changing the subject.
"Yeah but I don't want her seeing me like this, that's why I only call her" he shrugged. I know he didn't like the arrangement but he didn't have a choice.
