Jenni's pov:
Acting time.
"Oh my god, yes I'd love to!" I say.
"Great! Hannah is allowed to come as well, so I'll be able to see my family. Isn't this just the best thing ever?" he asks.
I nod.
"Couldn't be better."
I just want to scream
"THIS COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER IF YOU PROPOSED!" but I don't because that's very over reactive.

"Adam, no, not tonight." I say to him as he tries to take my top off.
"Are you okay?" he asks me.
"Yep. Fine. Never better." I say through gritted teeth.
I turn away and face the wall.
Adam falls asleep and it takes me hours to drift off.
Georgia's pov:
"Gee, I want to give you this." Ryan says and hands me a ring.
"Is this the..."
"Yeah it's the promise ring. I want you to have it again. Because I still keep by my word. I want to marry you one day." He says.
I smile at him and slip the promise ring on my finger.

/the next day/
I see Jen looking at my promise ring.
"You don't think it's too early do you? I mean, it's not an engagement ring but am I making the right choice?" I ask her.
"Be grateful that he wants to marry you, whether he wants to marry you tomorrow or in 10 years." She says dismissively.
"Meaning?" I ask.
She sighs.
"Has Adam told you he doesn't want to marry you?" I ask her.
"We have a kid together, I thought we'd have at least talked about the idea of marriage. But no, we haven't. I really thought he'd ask me last night but no. I just... I've always liked the idea of marriage, it being more confirmed that I'll be spending the rest of my life with someone. But that's not gonna happen, is it?" she asks me.
"You never know. Maybe he's never thought about it much. These ideas and thoughts don't occur to men. You could ask him about it?" I suggest.
"No, he'll just think I'm desperate." She says before getting up and disappearing into the kitchen.
Adam's pov:
"Where's Jen?" I ask Georgia.
"Kitchen."
I nod and sit down on the sofa.
"Hey, do you know what's up with her lately?" I ask Georgia quietly.
"No. Why don't you ask her?" She asks me.
"It's probably just woman things." I say, waving the subject away.
Georgia rolls her eyes and stands up.
"It's all the same with you men. It's always about you. Ever thought about what Jen might want for a change?" Georgia asks before storming out.
"I'm missing something. Something big..." I say to myself.
But what?
