Dilemma

Andy's pov:

"But... I thought you couldn't get pregnant." I say.

"Neither did I. But apparently, I can. But I'll tell you now Andy, I'm staying with you for the sake of our baby. I'm willing to try and forget what's happened but if it happens again, I. Am. Gone. Do you understand me? No second chances, no going back on my word, I will walk." She says to me.

I nod and stand up. Tears fall from my eyes.

"I don't want to lose you." I admit and hug her tightly, not wanting to let go.

"I don't want to have to walk away Andy." She says and kisses me.

Nat's pov:

/that night/

Danni came back with Andy and explained what was going to happen between them.

For both their sakes, I hope it doesn't happen again.

Anyway, me and Joel are going out for dinner tonight.

I pull on my red dress and black heels before applying some make up.

I head downstairs and see Joel standing with his back to me.

Then I see him put a little black box in his pocket.

Oh god no.

I can't...

Not that I don't want to, I just can't.

He turns around.

"You look gorgeous babe. Ready to go?" he asks me.

"Yeah, I think I left my phone in the kitchen." I say and go through the kitchen, grab my phone and walk out the back door before running away.

I can't do this.

Joel's pov:

"Nat?" I call.

She's been in the kitchen for longer than I expected.

No reply.

I walk to the kitchen but she's not there.

I notice the back door is open.

I walk into the garden but she's not there.

The back gate swings shut.

I pull out my phone and dial her number.

She answers.

"Nat, where have you gone?" I ask her.

"Answer me one thing. That little black box I saw you put in your pocket, what was in it?" she asks.

"Nat-"

"Just tell me Joel."

"An engagement ring." I admit.

There's silence on the other end of the line.

"Goodbye Joel."

"No, Nat, wait!" I say.

Too late.

She hangs up.

Why has she left?

And why was she so scared about getting engaged?
