Tour

/3 months later/ (sorry for the time jump!)

Adam's pov:

So this is the last night of the tour and we're in America for it.

We haven't really had time to see each other (me and Jenni, that is) because of all the rehearsals but she's been coming to the shows.

This'll be one of the best though because it's the very last night.

I could see Jenni in the very front row and our eyes kept meeting.

But there was something holding her usual smile back.

She was smiling, of course, but not the smile I'm used to seeing.

The usual smile which I haven't seen for 3 months.

The smile I've missed because I forgot something big.

Very big.

But what?

Jenni's pov:

The show ends and everybody cheers loudly and applauds.

Andy reappears with the microphone in his hands.

"Hey guys, before we go we'd just like to thank you all for coming out and watching us perform. This is our last night so thanks for making it the best, we've really enjoyed it, we hope you have too. But as well as it being special because it's our last concert night, there's another reason too. Take a look."

Andy walks over to the side of the stage and the other boys reappear and stand beside him.

The lights go down and a screen comes up.

Not just a band, but a few love stories.

One that's going to be remembered for years./

Then there was lots of pictures shown of me and Adam's relationship.

I begin to smile, a real proper smile that hasn't happened in 3 months.

The last slide appears.

/But it's all come down to this moment.../

The lights go back up and Adam takes centre stage.

"So guys, as you know I've been with Jenni for a few years and we have a daughter, Hannah. But Jenni's been down recently and I haven't been able to work out why. I knew it was something big, but I didn't know what exactly. Then when I finally worked it out, I realised how insensitive I'd been, never thinking or talking about the idea. So I'd like to invite Jenni onto the stage." He says.

I'm guided by some security guards onto the stage and walk up to Adam.

He gets down on one knee, making everybody scream.

"Jenni, will you marry me?"

I grin, the biggest grin you could ever see.

"Yes I will." I say, tears in my eyes.

He stands up and kisses me.

And in the end, I realise that the long wait was entirely worth it.
