Ryan's pov:

I run out in the direction that Georgia took off in.

I find her in the street because she's only walking at a slow pace, she knows I'll catch up to her anyway whether she's running or not.

"Georgia, let me explain." I say.

She rounds on me.

"Explain? What shit are you gonna give me Ryan? I saw you! You kissed another girl Ryan." She says and starts fiddling with the promise ring on your finger.

"Your promises mean nothing Ryan. I thought you were the one. I really believed you loved me and that you wanted to marry me one day. How wrong I was." She slides the ring off her finger.

Tears form in my eyes.

Her eyes meet mine.

I shake my head.

"Please Georgia. Please don't do this. I love you, I do." I say, the words getting caught up in my throat.

She steps forward and raises my wrist before pressing the ring into the palm of my hand.

"Goodbye Ryan." She says before walking away.

Georgia's pov:

That was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

Walk away from the man I love.

I could see the regret in his eyes but I can't forgive him.

Not anymore.

Ryan's pov:

Georgia never came home.

She never went back to school.

I didn't see her again for another year.
