I rushed off from the garden to the living room, I noticed my mum sitting on the
Floor,shedding tears while kate tried to console her, and a boy who wasn't Jake standing sadly behind them apparently Jake was no were to be found, am guessing he had retired for the day.I hope I didn't score 1/400 in jamb please God take my penalty away.
"Really?why is everyone crying?"I thought out loud..
"mum's best friend and her husband died in a gas explosion at their house"kate sobbed out.
After comprehending the statement
"what???"I screamed."oh my God, mum am sorry"I said as I ran towards her and fell on the cold tiled floor beside her, placing an arm on her shoulder,hot tears began to fall from my eyes,can death be this heartless to snatch away good old aunty jenny,she was so pretty and nice, apparently mum and aunty jenny were like sisters. She'd never come visiting us without a gift. Indeed I had lost a second mother.
"Someone killed Jennifer, that death ain't ordinary, someone took away my jenny,oh why oh why"mum sobbed deeply, seeing mum cry made me hurt so much but what I couldn't wrap around my finger was the fact that an unknown boy was standing sadly in our living room, who was he? and why was he there? Or was he the one to give the news of my jamb result? Out of fear and anxiety I leaned behind my mum's back and whispered into kate's ear"who's that boy?"
Kate looked up at me with her watery eyes and her sad face
"like right now Rach?his what your thinking of"
I frowned at Kate.she misunderstood me well how could she ever understand me when she hasn't failed before?my parent's little miss perfect"I give her the your so stupid stare and glanced at my poor weeping mum who's hurting so bad.
"Andrew" mum cried, and the boy who is about 5.8 inch tall with a light complexion putting on a purple dansuki wear above black shorts, suddenly moved from our back to our front..mum got up to hug him" don't worry, this is your new home okay, you would be living with us from now on okay?" Andrew nodded his head up and down and an uncontrollable amount of tears flowed down his eyes and mum continued to sob while consoling him at the same time.
uh oh, looks like we have a new house mate in the house.

Time ran and days past,although they were mourning periods,families wept, friends wept, mum wept, Andrew wept and I mourned.though they were no corpse to be buried, caskets were bought for the late mr and mrs john,a memorial occured and respects were paid.
Now, I and Kate had a new brother, although we weren't blood related but he became part of the family,due to d fact that he had no extended family member that he knew of cause both his parents were orphans and they met at d orphanage. Hmmm quite a sad love story. he was quite Moody most of the time but who wouldn't after all he just lost his real family two weeks ago,how sad but he was lucky because mum and dad automatically loved him and promised to take care of his education to what ever level,I wouldnt blame them,they had the money to pursue that vision.well he was already in the university and he was a final year student in the department of radiography at 24.ouch, radiography sounded like a very hard course.Apparently mum and dad were very pleased about the additional educational spending to do and they counted it all joy because another child under their care was in the university, unlike me.
"Hello"a weak voice hallowed.I turned to see Andrew starring at me confusingly then I lifted up my right hand from the glass table and waved at him.
"Rachel, right?"he said like we weren't housemates for more than a week for him to know my name. He searched for a reply in my eyes.and I nodded assuringly.
"Uhmm your parent's wants you at the living room like now."he reported
I picked up my phone from the table, jumped out of the glass chair in the garden and followed Andrew to the living room instantly.
"Afternoon mum, afternoon dad,"I muttered while I planted my self in the middle of the living room, having my both arms behind me with a straight head up and a chest out.
"Afternoon"they echoed in unison and that alone scared the shit out of me.
"Rachel dear how are you?"dad questioned."am good"I replied,"hope you have eaten" mum joined.
"yes I have"
"Do you have any dirty clothes?" Dad asked amusingly.Holly Jesus why are they asking all this odd questions or is it time to give me away for adoption?
"I have few dirty clothes any problem?"
dad laughed so loud
"is there anything wrong in asking my daugter few questions about her self?"
"No oooh" mum shouted.
They were acting sacarstically, trust me I know mum and dad and something wasn't right, but I just couldn't place my finger on it.Andrew stared at me pityfully like he knew something I didn't that was going to hurt me.
"Well have a sit,your standing like one who is at a warfare, nobody is fighting with anybody so please relax pick-up the sharwamar from the centre table and start eating it"
I glanced at my parents in confusion and looked down on the sharwarmar which laid deliciously on the table,I picked it up obediently, took a sit on the sofa,I unwrapped the foil paper that protected the sharwarmar and then before I could take a bite, mum interrupted
"won't you pray first?"
I paused instantly and gave my parents the have you poisoned the sharwarmar stare? Wierd oh wierd they were.their attitude towards me got me scared but never the less I prayed on the sharwarmar and began to munch.I devoured it regardless of the present situation to some extent that I began to thirst and so I left for the kitchen to go get some water,when I returned to the living room I saw kate sitting beside my dad, she removed a file from her bag and handed it over to my dad,apparently she was back from school.I sat in properly and continued to devour my delicious sharwarmar.
