I thought lightening had struck me.my heart stopped beating for a second, I couldn't comprehend soundly.my conscience accomodated guilt in a mansion, I felt foolish.And for the first time in a very long time water swimmed in my eyes.I watched my wife hit up her self on the floor.
Holding the black sandals in my hand I walked towards Nelly and say
" they said what?"Nelly shievered in shock and said.
"Eric pls calm down, I told you what happened already.The management said she couldn't make it through the last examination and when they noticed she wasn't back they sent out a search party into the river but they only found her drum, her dress and sandals.I was infuriated and so bitter that I had to call the cops but when the cops got there the management brought out a file which contained the terms and conditions that you had signed in Agreement with the school.so the cops couldn't hook them instead they began to investigate on the case.right now as I speak investigation is going on at the school of ressurrection, so please pull your self together"
I fell into the sofa like a man who had lost his world completely, I was speechless and weak and confused, oh the guilt was tearing me apart, how could I have done this to my own daughter, how could I have signed up in agreement to those terrible terms and condition, what if Rach was dead .would God ever forgive me?what misery!
A continuous advice wouldn't have been a bad idea, or sponsoring her in a skill acquisition.why am I thinking of this now?I hope it's not too late, I hope we still have hope.
Just looking at my wife wailing uncontrollably increased the guilt that haunted me.
"Eric, I told you I saw her. I saw my child, she called me wicked, I said she called me wicked.she was so angry at me, then she told me not to border going to U.S.A because she was already home, now I know that it wasn't just a bad dream but a revelation.hey!!!!! Who will I tell my story to? What will people say?what have I done to my own child? Who am I.infact why am I still looking at you people ? Wouldn't it be better to join my daughter"
My wife stood up from the floor aggressively like she wanted to revenge Rach's condition by hurting herself.I ran off from my sit immediately and stood on her way, while Nelly and Joseph were standing by her side.I knew my wife and am pretty much sure she wanted to harm herself out of guilt.
"Eric, let me pass.your in my way"she screamed
"Please calm down dear, you do not need to do this, take it easy. Were gonna find her. Please calm down"I begged.she threw a nasty glance at me.
"I should calm down?Eric, You and I know that Rachel can't swim, but she risked it anyway . you heard Nelly loud and clear.Now my daughter's body is missing, missing!!!!!Eric what have we done?what have we done to our daughter, is it not better to kill my self than to stay alive and tell the story of Rachel's death"
I fell on the ground like a chopped tree, because She hits my stomach in anger and runs towards the kitchen,Nelly runs after her immediately and holds her hand.Joseph collects her from Nelly and takes her to his guest room.
"Eric am really sorry this had to happen, but all hope is not lost,I suggest we should go there now"Nelly said.I nod my head back and forth in agreement and stand up from the floor.

"Am really sorry mr Jack.I must say that I feel your pain, but what supprises me is that AB6 had been engaged in more difficult and extra dangerous examinations and she survived it.I know something's not right and I promise that we will get to the bottom of it, but just so you'd know your daughter transformed, mr Daniel here can attest to that"
said the principal of the school, I switched my glance over to mr Daniel who had compassion in his eyes.
"Yes mr Jack, AB6 is all brand new, we made her jump up from her slumber, stepped out of her shadows and fought her fears, if you don't believe me, here is a video of AB's activities right from the first of may to the 30th of may.we taped it all, not just for her but for all the student so you can judge us yourself, and lastly this school has never recorded such case, since this is the first we must definately get to the bottom of this."
I still couldn't believe it was my Rach we were talking about in such a terrible situation, I blamed no other person but my self, My heart ached out of guilt, I felt terible within me, I stared at them speechless and confused. Of course I collected the tape.I needed to see her once again. But I hope the end of this case would be to my favour.
A tall white man walked into the room and greeted us all. After which he stared at me closely as he gently walked closer to me and said
"You must be her father, am I right mr Jack?". asked the black strange man in his mid twenties,on a uniform , I gently nod my head back and forth
"That's detective williams, he works for the government, he is a special well trained expert in this filled , he has solved more than a thousand and one murder cases. He is the one curently working on your daughter's case.said the principal.
Atleast investigations had began but that didn't take away the pain I .It consumed me like a burning turkey.I searched for words to utter but I found none.
after all I was the reason for the season. If only I advised my daughter this year, like I did in the previous years whenever she failed Jamb. Then I would not be on a hot sit right now.
Nelly noticed my critical situation which happened to be my inability to speak and so she decided to help me out.
"What has your findings revealed?"Nelly asked the detective.
"Well according to my little investigation. Turns out that Rachel wasn't so good at swimming , the glass drum was quite a weight to her and she just didn't know how to swim with it, that's why she chained the mouth of the drum with one end of the chain. And chained her waist with the other end of the chain, and that action alone caused the wieghty glass drum to pull her to the depth of the river, I believed she must have struggled to swim out of the river but the wieght of the glass drum kept pulling her down to depth but before she could untangle herself from the drum she was already down and because of the force she used in loosening the chain from her waist an accident occured. We found this big sharp rock in the river very close to where her black dress laid, but few distance away from the drum it had blood all over it.since every student in school of ressurrection has a blood sample at failure hospital, A sample of the blood from the rock was taken to blood lab for confirmation and clearification,then results from the blood test showed that the blood on the rock was Rachel's."
