It's not possible?, am I just hearing things? No! Am certain, atleast I think I know what I heard.it belonged to her.for crying out loud I was member of their family, so I practically knew everything about each one of them.at first I didn't want to believe but the second time I heard it, I was convinced.this should not be left with me alone.
"Jake, Jake,Jake, are you even listening to me?"
Asked Tori who was shaking my hand
"Yeah am with you"
"Doesn't seem like it"
We moved into kim's room but she wasn't there instead it was someone else.
"Jake Kim's not here, has she recovered?"I glanced at the room one more time.
"I don't think so, let's go see mr Joseph"
We both walked to mr Joseph's office and lucky for us he was in.
"Hello doctor"I greeted.
"Hello mr Joseph" Tori greeted.
"Hey, look who's here, my favourite people in America, how you guys doing?"
"Were doing great doctor"he stands up from his sit and walks towards his fridge and opens it then he brings out two cans of soda and serves it on the center glass table which laid between I and Tori.
"We both picked up the soda and opened it.
"So what brings you to my office?"
"We came to see kim, but we didn't find her in her room,has she recovered?" Asked Tori who just sipped the last of her soda.
"Uhmm, yes.she's doing great but she not here right now cause she's with mum at india,I just spoke with them few minutes ago and mum said Kim's doing great."
"That sounds good but why couldn't you treat her yourself? After all your one of the best there is"I asked as kept trying to observe if he was lieing or not.
"Hahaha, Your right am one of the best there is but her condition was taking away my time from other patient and her recovery was quite slow, so my wife suggested that we move her to india for a better and faster recovery".
"Well,I just hope she gets better,I miss her so much"muttered Tori who had a moody counternance.
"Common Tori, cheer up.she'd be back in no time"Tori nodded.
"Please can we have the address of this hospital so we could probably pay her a visit".
His eyes looked confused.
"Yeah, thing is, I keep forgetting the name of the place, hahaha, funny right.you know Indians and their crazy hospital names.I can't remember the name don't know if it's Roshni cedat's clinic or just something like that.I promise I won't forget the name of the hospital when next you visit"
He was sweating, that's not a good sign and what's worse Rushni and cedat are characters of the indian opera king of heart which Tori regularly watches. why would he use such common names? Tori was about to let the cat out of the bag before I pinched her, and ended our discussion.
"Thanks Mr Joseph, we'd probably come back next time, our regards to aunt Nelly and kim"and that how I and Tori left the hospital.
"Jake, do you think Mr Joseph wasn't telling the truth?"
"I don't know for sure "I open the door of the car and she entered, then I turned around to help myself into the car,I was about starting the car before a call came.
It was my personal doctor from canada, she's actually the one I thought would help kim recover but now that she's been transferred to india I guess I'll just have to tell herI picked my phone and clicked the answer button
"Helo doctor Kylie, how are you doing"
"Am doing great, and you"
"Am awesome, doctor kylie am sorry I haven't called you since then, you see the situation of the patient was quite critical, too critical,"
"That you thought I couldn't handle it?"
"No, actually you were the first person I thought about when I saw her condition, and that's why I called you that day, but it seemed like the skin peeling and the maniac behaviour got worse that's why her parents transferred her from the hospital to another hospital, so you'd probably not be meeting her anymore, but you can still make some research about her condition and get back to me"
"Well, that's odd.cause the patient that recently moved out of my hospital had the same issue, is this now a trending condition or something?"
"Woaw, what a coincidence.uhmm doctor I know this is supposed to be confidential but do you still remember her name?"
"Sure, I do".
"Could you please tell me"
"Her name is miss, my head ,my head my"she dropped her phone
"Doctor kylie?, doctor kylie? Doctor kylie"
"What's wrong Jake, what happened to her?"Tori asked with a concerned face.
"I don't know"
This is strange.I just hope she's okay.I redailed her number and luckily for me her staff picked,I was told that she'd been taken to the E.R.how sad.I just pray that nothing at all happen s to her.
after ending the call I decided to call another person.I think luck was on my side,cause I know it's virtually almost rare to put a call across Nigeria and it connects immediately.
"Helo"the familiar voice questioned.
"Good day mr Jack,am really sorry for disturbing you right now and am pretty much surey voice is the last voice you want to ever hear but please this is really important,I need to ask you few questions."
"What it is Jake? Who do you want this time my wife?After the shame and humilation you brought upon I and my family and the seasons of heart ache you caused my daughter,you have the guts to call my number?"
"Am really sorry but this is really important.and I need your assistance please sir"
"Look here young man, don't you ever, I repeat "ever" call this line in the rest of your miserable life."
"Am sorry, please hear me out, hello? Hello? Hello?"
He caught the call on me, what was I thinking? How dare I call him? After all I did to him and his family
"Let me guess, he still hates you"asked Tori who knew it all and I nodded.
"Well who wouldn't?, after what you did"

I couldn't see a thing, the place was totally dark and I feel the chains that held my hands and feet bound,I was just at a place, suddenly the door opened and light dawned into the dark room I could see my mum walking on the stairs.
She finally got me, then she dropped the plate of food on the floor and left me alone.
Too bad I couldn't communicate with her, even if I tried she wouldn't hear me or understand me,I was just like girl trapped in her own shaddow.What a terrible experience.
I never knew mum would turn out to be this heartless, I would never eat that poisoned food.maybe I was just meant to suffer, to r some reason I feel that bad things had always befallen me.it's been four days and I had not taken my bath, I sure smelled really bad.I can't explian how it all began, last time I checked I came back from Nigeria, Tori was at my place , Jake arrived later, then he left soon.Tori snatched my box of chocolate and cookies and I ran after her until I caught her and collected back my box, after which mum gave us some yoghurt and next time I knew I was at the hospital and now am at the verge of death.only God knows what mum and cindy are up to.but what about dad?did he also hate me too?
