The major theme of this book is patience. That's a virtue we all struggle to attain. And the second theme of the book is based on The powers of God. The idea was to remind people of the fact that God exists, to make people understand that delay is definitely not denial.
The fact that Allan, Sophie, Dora and Ken has a job today dosen't mean you wouldn't have yours even if presently your jobless. Then we should also take note of the fact that the power of God is indeed supreme he can do and undo at anytime depending on your relationship with him. Lastly there's nothing Impossible for him to do. He knows the end from the beginning, he knows why things happen the way they happen, and we should actually learn to put our trust in him no matter what happens.
