Caroline's POV
After that night we drove back to New Orleans. All I want to do is be back home again. While Klaus' drives I hold Rose in my arms. She sleeps peacefully.
"Love?" Klaus' asks.
"Yes?" I say.
"I'm sorry." He says and he looks at me.
"You don't need to be."
"But I am. I should have fought for you," He says,"I should have fought for us."
"It wasn't your fault." I say.
"You would say that after a thousand years things would get easier." He says.
"Feelings don't go away over the years." I say,"They just become more wearable."
"Maybe, but my feelings for you will never disappear." He says,"Because I love you Caroline. Always and forever till forever ends."
"I love you to." I say and we drive home.
Our home.
Klaus' POV
That morning I wake up to the sound of Rose crying. It's 8 AM. Caroline sleeps deeply and I try not to wake her up.
I walk into Rose's room and see her crying in her bed. I pick her up and she stops crying.
"We're going to get you something to drink," I say to Rose while I walk to the kitchen.
Let's see. Macaroni. No. Banana? No.
"Baby milk." I say out loud.
After ruining 3 bottles and reading the backside of the package I finally accomplish to make a bottle with baby milk.
While Rose is drinking I take her to her room and sit down on a chair. She slowly falls asleep and I put her bottle on the table.
"Klaus?" I hear from the hallway.
"Ssh love, you don't want to wake her."
Caroline smiles at me while she sits on another chair.
"Did you do this?" She asks while she holds the bottle in the air.
"Yes actually I did." I say proudly not to mention how many times it took me to do it.
She kisses my cheek and I turn my head and crash my lips to hers. For a minute we kiss passionately. Then Caroline takes Rose and puts her back in bed.
I love her. With my flesh and bones. With my heart and soul.
because here's the thing about : It's hard to put into words.
Love brings up emotions that run the gamut from agony to ecstasy. Love can inspire us to accomplish some of the craziest and most amazing feats.
Love can make you angrier than you've ever been. It can elate you and deflate you almost at the same time.
While we can all pretty much recognize the emotions associated with love, actually finding the words to explain those feelings is a pretty tough order.
People have searched for centuries to find the right way to say "I love you" and to try to explain those butterflies in your stomach, that warm fuzzy feeling in your belly and that heart skipping a beat.
One thing we DO know is that whether you've love and won — or loved and lost, it's ALWAYS worth it.
"I love you, Caroline" I say,"When I look at you I see the rest of my life in front of my eyes."
Caroline stares in my eyes for a couple seconds, but just long enough to see the spark in her eyes that I missed so much.
"Klaus Mikaelson." She says,"I love you. Always."
"And forever." I say before kissing her.
Caroline's POV
When I say I love you more, I don't mean I love you more than you love me. I mean I love you more than the bad days ahead of us, I love you more than any fight we will ever have. I love you more than the distance between us, I love you more than any obstacle that could try and come between us. I love you the most.
We try to sleep a couple hours more. But with a baby, Rebekah, Kol, Elijah and even Freya it's a bit hard. So I just sit with Rose. Keeping her safe. Giving her the love she needs.
Klaus fell asleep. I kiss Rose's forehead and lie her down in her crib.
I weak up in the chair next to her. I don't even remember falling asleep. With a smile on my face I leave Rose alone knowing that there will be taken care of her. I walk downstairs to take a blood bag. When I sit on the kitchen table Klaus storms into the kitchen.
"I'm so sorry, love." He says kissing me.
"What is it?" I ask
"Apparently I can't drown my demons," He says,"they know how to swim."
"Trouble in paradise?" Kol asks while walking into the kitchen and taking a banana.
"Marcel is back in town." Klaus says turning around.
"That bastard." Kol says sarcastic and he takes another bite.
I finish my blood bag and jump off the table.
"You can go fix it, I will be right here." I say and I trow the blood bag into the trashcan.
"We can even go shopping!" Rebekah walks into the room and I get the feeling there are to many people in it.
"I really need new clothes." I say nodding.
"Here," Klaus says handing over his credit card,"I love you." He says and he kisses my cheek before walking away.
"Take Rose we are going." Rebekah says taking my hand.
"Is that even save?" I ask,"Taking Rose for shopping at 11 AM?"
"Of course it's our city," Rebekah says.
"And I think you're going to be queen." She whispers in my ear before speeding upstairs.
