Chapter 35

Caroline's POV

Everything is different now. 

That is what I thought while I put all of Rose's clothes in a suitcase. While I carefully placed my makeup in a bag. While I folded Klaus clothes and put them in a bag. 

Klaus made a promise and he is going to keep it. After Stefan died we flew away. Kol and Bonnie are starting a live together somewhere far from New Orleans and Mystic Falls. But Klaus promised to show us the world. 

So he is. 

Currently we are sitting in a airplane. Rose is sleeping while sitting on Klaus and my head is lying on his shoulder. 

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"If I tell you love, then it wouldn't be a surprise anymore." He says.

I try looking at him with big eyes but he just laughs and shakes his head. "You'll see." He says. 

The trip is taking an long time and after a while I close my eyes. "Sleep well, love." Klaus whispers before I close my eyes and let the darkness overwhelm me. 

What seemed like ages later we land. Rose is jumping around in excited. I can't help but smile while Klaus picks her up. Where are we? 

"Welcome to Paris, love." Klaus whispers in my ear. 

Klaus' POV

I smile at her confused look as Rose screams. "DISNEY LAND!" She got her aunt's lungs. Rebekah could scream harder then her when she was a kid. Mother would always punish her for it. If Mikael was home he would lock her up in a cabin. Kol and I would always secretly open the door for her escape. We never told the others about it. 

"Daddy!" Rose really needs to calm down. I hand her over to her mother. "Can I meet Mickey?" She looks at Caroline with big eyes. I laugh. "Sure honey." We aren't even outside yet. 

I take Caroline by her hand as Rose is still holding on to her. The car is already waiting outside. 

"This is going to be awesome." I hear Rose whispering to herself. 

Half a hour later we stand in front of Disney Land Paris. 

I look at my girls. I promised to protect them years ago. I intend to keep that promise. 

I look at Caroline. "Do you really have to leave immediately?" I ask. She stares at me and than vampire speed away.

I catch up on her. "You don't have to protect me Klaus." Caroline says.

But I will. I will never stop chasing her. In know it deep in my bones. If I leave without her I will regret that for another thousand years.

I will never stop thinking. If she will get hurt I would never forgive myself.

Rose runs in rounds while Caroline takes pictures. "Daddy?! Can I buy something?" I nod and we walk into a store names Disney & Co. 

My phone rings. Unknown. I pick up.

"Hello." I say.

"I think we need to talk" An unknown voice says. She gives me an address and I walk outside.

When I arrive I see a bunch of witches standing in a dark room.

"What is this?" I ask.

"I have an special gift." The witch says. "Of sensing when a girl is pregnant."

"What?" I ask. What has this have to do with me?

"Klaus?" I hear behind me. It's Caroline. What is she doing here?

It's like Caroline's inner child is awoken. She is running around and doing crazy with Rose. I love her so much. 

My phone rings. 

"Hello Sister." I say.

"Nik! You still up for tonight or are you scared." She asks.

"I'm not scared for anything Rebekah." I say. 

Caroline sends me a questioning look. I just nod apologizing. 

"See you tonight brother." She says. 

"Goodbye sister." I say before hanging up. 

Caroline's POV

After hanging out in Disney land we go to an hotel with sight at the Eiffel tower. 

All of our stuff are already here. I go to the balcony after putting on the television for Rose. 

"You like it?" I hear behind me. Klaus. 

"I love it." I say and I kiss him. He smirks at me. 

"I have a surprise for you." He says. He has that evil sparkle in his eyes. 

"Auntie Bex is in the house!" I hear from inside.

"Rebekah!" I run inside the surprisingly huge apartment and hug my best friend. "What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Watching Rose obviously." She says. 

"Auntie Bex?" Rose asks. "Can you make pie?" 

"Don't you dare!" I say to Rebekah, still smiling. 

"You coming love?" Klaus asks. 

"No." Rebekah says and she takes my hand to the master bedroom. "We will be back in a minute." 

"What are we doing?" I ask. 

"You need to change into a dress." She says. 

It takes half an hour to find the right dress and fifteen minutes to do my makeup. 

"Are you coming?" Klaus asks while he sighs. It only took like 45 minutes. 

Klaus takes my hand and we walk down the streets. After walking through several streets filled with fashion and people, Klaus blindfolds me. 

"You sure this is a good idea?" I ask. 

"Do you trust me?" Klaus asks. 

"Always." I say. 

I take his hand. After walking a little while longer we stop.

He takes of my blindfold. 

"It's all yours."He says. My jaw clenches. "What do you mean?" I ask.

"I kind of bought it for you." He says.

"You bought me the EIFFEL TOWER?" I ask.

"You like it?" He asks. 

I hug him really really tight and he lightly strokes my hair. 

"You want to eat?" He asks.

I nod and together we walk to the restaurant inside the Eiffel tower. 

Inside it's completely empty. I raise my eyebrows to Klaus but he just smirks. 

We sit down to a table next to the window. You can see so much from up here. 

Klaus looks a bit nervous. I just laugh because he looks like he is out for his first date in high school. 

We eat something I can't pronounce and is probably more expansive then whole Mystic Falls together but that's okay. 

"Caroline?" Klaus asks. 

I look at him with big eyes and put down my fork, still chewing my last bite. 

"We have been together for over 6 years now." He says. 

"Yes...?" I say.

He takes a little box out of his jacket and goes down on one knee.

"Caroline Elizabeth Forbes, will you marry me?"
