Part 22 : The Kingdoms

Kinakabahan ako since yesterday. Napakurap ako matapos ang aking pagbabalik tanaw sa nangyari kahapon.

Napili ako! My candle turned gold. 

 I was overwhelmed and petrified at the same time. Hindi ako nakatulog for I couldn't contain my excitement.

We were told that we should be at the school gates before 6am. 

Napabalikwas ako ng bangon, I hurriedly looked at the time, It was already 5:30, my eyes widen.

Damn kailangan ko magmadali.

 I did a quick shower, put on my uniform then ran to our meeting place. Ayoko silang paghintayin lalo na napakaimportante ng araw na ito.

Mula sa di-kalayuan, natanaw ko na sina Mica, Jenny , Storm, Josh , Luke, two other students and Mr. Winston. They were all patiently waiting.

OH – shit I'm late! I mentally told myself. Sana hindi sila galit.

"Ah, Ms. Cassidy, Glad you could make it!" nagagalak na tugon ni sir Winston.

"I'm sorry Mr Winston, sorry kung late po ako" nahihiya kong sabi.

"That's okay, you're just in time, everyone were just rather early" he gave me an assuring smile.

Pumunta ako kina Mica and Jenny binigyan nila ako ng isang masayang ngiti, then Luke and Josh gave me a charming smile then Storm in his usual cold self pero makikita mo na may nagbago sa pag-uugali nito.

 I didn't get the chance to introduce myself to the other students because Mr. Winston started talking.

"Now listen up, our carriages have arrived. So please proceed to your respective carriages- Mica, Jenny, Josh, Storm, Luke and Claire go to the first one – then the rest will be coming with me on the second carriage."

Mga Elites lang din pala makakasama ko sa loob ng karwahe. Masaya silang kasama.

Napangwi ako. 

Sana nga lang huwag mag-away yung dalawa- sina Jenny at Josh, ang sakit sa tenga ng aso't pusa nilang awayan.

"I'm so excited, it feels like homecoming."puno ng saya na saad ni Mica, I could see the glint of happiness on her eyes.

"I can't wait to see my parents, and Claire I know you will be thrilled to meet our parents. I'll tour you around the palace." saad naman ni Jenny, the excitement on her voice was so visible.

 My body tensed. I was anxious to see their parents. 

Sino ba ang hindi kakabahan kung makikilala mo lang naman ay mga hari't reyna?

They're royalties and I was just a nobody. Urgh! Nakakabaliw! bakit kasi hind nakakatulong pagiisip kong ito.

"Relax, okay? You looked so tense, mababait sila" mahinang sabi ni Josh nang mapansin niya ang pag-aalinlangan ko.

"Hindi sila nangangain ng tao so relax okay? Besides sisiguraduhin namin na mag-eenjoy ka, All you need to do is just be yourself. " Luke gave me a reassuring smile.

I stared at them for a while until I gratefully nodded.

 I sighed deeply. Tama sila Claire, Everything will be all right.

I noticed that Storm was staring at me . I quickly looked away.

Throughout the ride, I couldn't help but wonder, why I was chosen? I looked at the people with me, well dugong bughaw sila, hari at reyna mga magulang nila, may napakalakas silang kapangyarihan.
