Off Season, Bonding Camp

And Now It Begins

Okay so since the awkward encounter in the lobby last night things have been so uncomfortably. Emily is acting weird, Tobin hasn't looked up from the ground and I'm to scared to say anything because I'm worried JJ is the only words going to come out considering she's been the only thing on my mind since I set eye's on her.

Currently Tobin, Emily, Allie, Alex and I are sitting in the dinning room eating breakfast. The only people talking are Allie and Alex.

"Hey can we talk?" I jump at the sudden voice, but when I turn to look i notice its not for me. It's Lauren for Emily.

"Ahh sure.." Emily is just about to get up when Jill's voice echo's through the room.

"Ladies listen up, this camp isn't about training, it's about communication and friendship. I have set up a few activities. There is surfing at North Shore only a 10 minute drive from here, there is snorkeling and paddle boarding at Hanauma Bay only just across the road and there's cliff jumping and rock climbing at Manoa Waterfall only a 15 minute drive and a 10 minute walk and of course the beach across the road. We have a shuttle bus that is going to run the rest of the day back and forth from both North Shore and Manoa Waterfall, enjoy the rest of your breakfast and have a good day" Jill concludes her speech.

"What do you wanna do Em's?" I ask, Lauren had walked away halfway through Jill's spech.

"I'm thinking the beach across the road. plus we can surf there to if we want" I nod agreeing with her decision, even if I didn't like the beach idea I probably would have done it anyway because i don't particularly want to be around people I don't know.

After getting ready Emily and I meet Tobin, Ash and Ali at the beach. Once there I start to wish that I had picked another activity and when i look at Emily and Tobin beside me I can see in there eye's they are thinking the same thing because standing before us is JJ, Christen, Lauren and Amy.

I smile politely at JJ before finding a spot away from her to sit. The girls and I sit in silence for a while. Ash and Ali the only ones who seem to be enjoying themselves.

"Okay this is ridiculous, get up and just talk to her' I say myself. So i do. JJ and Chris are laying on there stomach, propped up on there elbows and reading a book.

"What you reading?" I ask. She turns and looks t me a smile on her face, before she rolls to her back so she can look at me.

"The girls who kicked the hornets nest" She smiles and I couldn't help but smile back.

"I read the first book but it took me forever so I didn't even bother with the rest" I laugh sitting down beside her.

"why wouldn't you just get the audio books" She laughs at me, I shrug not sure how to answer considering I never thought of it in the first place.

JJ and I had been talking for a good 10minutes before finally Emily, Tobin, Christen, Lauren and Amy joined in. Ash and Ali where having a romantic walk along the beach and I couldn't help but wish that was me.

"Best party ever" Tobin laughs as she finishes her story about Ash's party. I just shake my head remembering what a mess that night was. I think Tobin was the only one who actually enjoyed her night.

"Speak for yourself" Emily pipes up.

"I'm sorry about that" Lauren randomly adds.

"Wait what, sorry about what, I thought you guys didn't no each other?" Amy quizzes clearly confused. I look at JJ and give her a look that say 'here we go again' which she nods at.

"It wasn't your fault and I've had worse" Emily smiles sincerely at Lauren.

"Okay seriously can someone explain?" Amy asks clearly annoyed to be out of the loop.
