"I need you to stay calm kid." He hushed, as he circled around to face the teenage boy, his weapon pointed right at him. "I just need you to feed those dogs, and unlocked that D2 gate for me, can you do that?" He could see the fear in his eyes; discontent and guilt about using such foul move against a kid, he still resorted to such tactic. The employee nodded in response, his body quivering, and his expression pale and utterly distressed. He proceeded out, with Billy following him from a close distance. The young man did as he was told, but panic took hold of him, as he froze in place.
"Keep feeding them." Billy aimed straight at the pack, as the dogs became agitated. "Don't pay attention to me, just make sure to keep them busy AND quiet." He backed away towards the door panel, his weapon remained pointed at the dogs, as the trained canines hounded towards the unfamiliar presence. A frightened expression waved across the helpless teenager; tall and slender, and most likely under paid for this graveyard shift. His body retained its shivering, which only made the dogs more overwrought; barking and growling, they seemed equally preoccupied by Billy's presence, and the food that awaited them in that bucket.
"Just feed them and make them shut up already." He wished not to attract any of the guards' attention, nor to have to use his weapon in self defense, against those ferocious animals. Obeying the empowered man, the employee resumed his task, and led the pack away from the entrance. Walking back to Billy, he simply stood, motionless and terrified of what the armed man may be planning next.
"J-j-just don-t s-s-shoot me, s-sir..." He stuttered.
"I'm not planning on kid." He put away his handgun. "I just need to know how many guards are in here, and for you to let me through this gate, alright?" Nodding in response, the employee pulled out a key, and unlocked the door as requested; with haste, they proceeded inside.
"T-there's Denson patrolling s-sector 3... Peters n-near Gate 004... and-" His count was cut short.
"I don't need names, just how many." Billy tried his best not to further terrify him.
"Three ss-sir..." He answered truthfully.
"Any locked doors to get to the exit?" The employee shook his head in response. "I just need a quick way out of here, and find means to get to the nearest city."
"There's a group of m-men, right at the entrance s-sir." He explained. "They c-check anyone going in or o-out of the factory... And they c-control the transportation f-for the staff... F-from here, back to the city s-sir. They k-know everyone here, there's n-no way you can get past t-them unnoticed s-sir."
"Enough with the sir!" He startled the poor teen; his tone harsher than intended. "Sorry" He sighed. "Any other way out of here?"
"There's only one road l-leading back to the city, s-" He cut himself off. "Unless you're p-planning on going through the forest, and s-swim across the river." The young man explained. "You r-really n-need to get back to the c-city, right?" The employee guessed right, as Billy nodded in response.
"There's an old p-passageway, down sector 1-B. It's a long w-way across and u-under the river, but it's t-the only o-other way I know of." He informed him, as he gestured in direction of a small fenced alcove. "It g-goes from here, down to t-the Chemical Plant p-parking lot. You won't find any guards d-down there, since it's n-no longer in use, but b-both entrances are locked w-with a numeric keypad."
"You know the codes?" Billy inquired.
"O-only for this entrance." The young man answered truthfully. "It's 2967."
"That's good enough kid." Billy replied, his tone somewhat less frightening. "I'll manage the rest... somehow." He commented, before heading to the ladder. He proceeded on, leaving behind, a dismayed and alarmed young man. Taking a gamble on the kid's honesty and silence, he pressed forward, down a narrow path leading to the said keypad. 2967. He punched in the code. Looks like the kid was telling the truth after all. He commented, as the door unlocked.
