without a doubt, Ramadan.
the most beautiful month, where Allah calls the entire Ummah to Himself. How beautiful it is, that at times when are hearts are ill and our Imaan is weak, He grants us Ramadan to bring us closer and back to Him.
"He who does not give up uttering falsehood and acting according to it, God has no need of his giving up his food and drink." (The Holy Prophet Muhammad)
We are beyond blessed to be Muslims and have this beautiful month where our each deed multiplies a thousand times more. A month where ALLAH forgives us for all our sins if we make dua from a pure intention of forgiveness. Ramadan is not just about not fasting. Fasting in Islam does not just consist of refraining from eating and drinking, but from every kind of selfish desire and wrong-doing. The fast is not merely of the body, but essentially that of the spirit as well.
May this beautiful month brings each one of you great happiness and peace. Makes us a better person and brings us much more closer to ALLAH Subhanu TA'ALLAH. May this month unites us with our loved ones. May we initiate to end little misunderstandings over petty things we have with people and be a bigger person. (Apologising doesn't make you any less of a person) May this month makes us a more humble, generous and tolerant person towards other fellow human beings. AMEEN.Ramadan Mubarak, everyone. Feel he good vibes of Sahoor and Iftaar. Ask your mom if she needs help in something. Set out the dishes. Go out with your friend for taraweehs and iftaars. And reap out all what Allah has to offer.
Remember the 3 Ashrah duaa's:
Ramadan Tips:
1. Don't burn up all your energy in the first few days, aim to be consistent throughout the month .
2. Seek forgiveness daily especially between suhur and fajr
3. SHOW OFF TO ALLAH! People are being freed from jahannam every night, make yourself stand out
4. Cut out any distractions, you might not live to see next Ramadan so don't waste any time
5. Taraweeh & Tahajjud are great, but your 5 daily salahs are more important. Don't miss the isha jama'ah and just come for taraweeh, nope.
6. Feed as many fasting people as you can to multiply your rewards
7. Give sadaqah every day and night, even if it is only 1p . At least try to.
8. If you can't fast, don't become lazy in the rest of your ibadah, you can still do most of the things on this list
9. Soften your heart with the Quran daily, set a time to listen and ponder over its verse every day
10. Keep track of your progress constantly, evaluate your Iman daily and make sure you are constantly increasing
11. Be sincere to Allah and make changes with the intention of them being long term
12. Hide your deeds as much as possible
13. Make dhikr as much as you can, keep saying subhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, laa illaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar etc throughout the day
14. Don't eat too much, this will decrease your khushu in Salah
15. Always ask Allah to accept your deeds, you never know if anything you've done has been accepted
16. Quran, Quran, Quran! Allah has honoured this month through its relationship with the Quran, read as much of it as you can. Try to finish it at least once this month
17. Along side your normal recitation, have a second slower one where you ponder over the verses, this is better than just reading it without thought
18. Don't miss any nawafil/sunnah prayers during the month
19. If possible stay in the masjid after fajr (doing ibadah) until 15 minutes after sunrise and pray ishraq. This has the reward of hajj and umrah
20. Pray duha Salah 2
1. Make lots of dua, especially at night and for your parents, dead loved ones and for the ummah (don't forget Muslim prisoners)
22. Everything can be an ibadah if you have the correct intention. Sleep/ rest with the intention to re-energise yourself for more ibadah etc
23. Avoid haram as much as possible and don't show off your deeds. Please, don't show off your deeds. "I finished 3 Quran's this month! I fasted entirely no skip!!" Keep it between Allah and you, your special secret, which makes it so much better.
24. Implement as much of the Quran in your life as you can, take it slow if necessary but be consistent .
25. Get your priorities straight, sometimes we may want to do an act of ibadah but our parents might want us to do something which we see as insignificant. Don't get annoyed or feel like you are missing out, obey your parents as Allah has commanded .
26. Try to improve and re establish any broken family ties
27. Encourage others to do good, you will get the same reward as everyone you influence.
28. Don't let who you were stop you from becoming better. If you didn't pray before, now's the time to start. You shouldn't feel guilty for becoming better.
29. Allah wants to forgive you, so show him that you want to be forgiven and seek his forgiveness.
