"Make sure she's breathing and check her heart rate " Voices that sounded like doctors had said.

It was faint voices I kept hearing, I had to be in a hospital.

I blinked my eyes open slowly, seeing a few doctors surrounding me. I was kind of confused as to why I was here or what had happened.

" She's woke, we need to get the IV's in her. " A doctor said.

After they finished with all the procedures they had to do, it was now just one doctor left in here.

" Tell me your name, Ma'am. It's fine if you don't remember at the moment , you may be a little dazed." the doctor said

My head was killing me, I had the worst migraine ever.

" Alexis Williams. " I responded

" Okay, Alexis. I'm Dr. Green and I'll be assisting you while you're here. As of now, it seems as if you had a mild concussion from the accident and a sprained elbow on your right arm. Other than that you're fine besides a few scratches or bruises that would heal in approximately a week. " Doctor Green said as she put the sling around my arm.

I'm kind of lucky then, most people come out of a car crash with worse than that.

" Excuse me " an officer said at the door.

" I'll be back in 15 minutes to check on you and let you know everything else  " The doctor said before exiting

" What happened? " I asked still kind of in a daze.
 
" Hi, I'm officer Bradley and it seems as if you got into a car accident on I-55, the car only flipped once and someone driving pass seen the car turned over and called ambulance immediately. "

I nodded, kind of recalling the moment.

" If you don't mind, I'm going to ask you a few questions. Nothing too hard on you. " he said

I nodded again and waited for the questions.

" Would you mind telling me-- if you remember, how you had got into the accident? "

I thought for a second then everything started coming back to me. I was with Michael and was trying to escape by crashing the car.

I can't necessarily state who I was with but I will say I was with someone, maybe they can get leads from there. I also can't say what I was trying to do because then that'll open up another world of other stuff.

" I was with a friend and he was speeding then all I remember is us crashing. " I stared

The officer wrote down something then made a face, " I'm not trying to come off as offensive when I say this Ms. Williams but are you sure you're remembering correctly? "

" Yes, positive. What do you mean? " I asked, hoping he didn't realize I was lying.

" The other officers that studied the scene, including the person that found you said it was one person-- which was you that was in the car when they found it. "

I grew a lump in my throat and knots in my stomach. Not only because I thought the crash would've possibly killed Michael but he's still on the loose while I'm laying in the hospital bed with a mild concussion and sprained elbow.

How did he escape the car that fast? When did he get out? How was the officers not able to see that it couldn't have been me that crashed the car? So many questions were going through my head right now and I wanted answers to them but I knew I couldn't get them.

" Are you sure? " I asked

" Yes. I was told it was only you in the car at the scene. "

" How did the car crash then? " I asked him
