I was in line right now, waiting on the person in front of me to be through.

The cashier smiled then said, "Scared you knocked somebody up?" she chuckled while ringing my stuff up.

I looked at her and didn't say anything, just proceeded to getting the amount due out.
"You look scared as hell she must be yo hoe or something."

"First of all I ain't scared , what the fuck am I scared of? Second of all she ain't my hoe she my girlfriend." I said and threw the money on to the counter.

"Keep the change." I said and grabbed the bag. What be wrong wit bitches?

On my way home I couldn't help but think.

What if she is? Then she is and I gotta accept it cause I barely used protection with her.

What if she isn't? Then I gotta just be careful and pull out but the shit be a lil difficult when you in the moment.

Just can't wait to get home to get this shit squared out.

" Alright so I don't know if I should've got two different kinds or if two of the same was fine." Chris said the moment he came in.

"Two of the same was fine." I said and grabbed the bag from his hand.

I remained on the couch and scrolled on my phone.

I looked up and Chris was still standing there, "You gone go check or what?" He said putting both hands on his hips.

I laughed to myself, "Okay, I didn't know you were in a rush." I said and went to the bathroom around the corner while he sat in the living room.

I took the first one out of the box and did my business and did the other one afterwards. I stood by the door and braced myself for either results.

I was sitting on the couch, waiting on Alexis to come out the bathroom. Damn, how long a pregnancy test take? 3 hours, it seem like she been in there for ever.

She came around the corner and began walking towards the couch area. When I looked to her face for conformation, she had watery eyes as if she was already crying or about to.

"What is it?"

"I'm pregnant." She said and laid her head on my shoulder and began to cry.

"Damn..."

"Wait why you crying?" I said lifting her head up.

"I wasn't ready."

"What do you mean you wasn't ready? You got me, that's all the ready you need." I said and looked to her.

"Wipe ya face baby, you lookin like a punk right now. I got you, quit trippin'." I said and nudged her shoulder a lil bit.

I understand why she ain't want it to happen yet but things happen. I just want her to know she has little to worry about cause I got her, like I told her.

I wasn't mad about it, nor was I my happiest either. I think because I was more so in denial and thought I wasn't is what's getting to me the most. I told myself, ' you can't be, we used protection ' and I knew that was a lie, so then I went to , 'well you've been pregnant before so you'd know if you were.' But like Chris said, it's different every time. I knew I had some of the symptoms but I avoided all of them because in my mind I was so UN ready that I just told myself I was over thinking.
