I'm shopping at a grocery store, and suddenly my grocery cart runs into someone's cart when I turn a corner.

"Oh excuse me. I'm sorry." I immediately apologize.

"Oh no, it's fine." I hear a familiar voice say.

I look up to see that guy who helped me with my purse the other day.

"Oh hi." I smile.

This is awkward. I feel like he likes me or something, but he also gives me a creepy vibe.

"How have you been?" He asks me.

"I'm good. You?" I reply.

Crap what was his name again?

"Great. I see you got a new purse." He points out.

"Oh yeah. Thanks again by the way." I say turning around to walk away.

"Wait. Could I take you out sometime?" He asks me.

"Uh. I don't know. I hardly know you." I add.

"That's because you aren't trying to get to know me. If you let me take you out you can get to know me. Maybe you can even tell me your name." He smiles at me.

"Okay. Fine." I give in to his charm.

"Great. Can I get your number?" He asks me.

"No. You know where I live. Pick me up at 7pm tonight." I tell him.

"Where do you want to go?" He smirks.

"How about dinner?" I state.

"Too boring. I didn't ask you out to watch you eat." He says.

"Then where?" I ask.

"A park." He smiles.

"Um. Sure." I say unsure.

"See you then." He says walking away.

As I'm making my way to the register I can't help but think about his name uh... Crap. Shawn I think.

I don't remember anyone moving in to the apartments next door. He came out of nowhere. I've lived in my apartment for five years and I've never seen him before. Until now.

Everything just seems too ironic. It's strange.

I'm waiting outside my apartment building and I look down at my phone to see it's 7:00. I glance back up to see him. I jump back a little and gasp.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." He apologies.

"It's okay. I'm just glad you aren't late."
