Shawn's *POV*

"I was...um. I was raped." She struggles to tell me.

"What?" I sit up feeling my heart sink.

"It happened a few years ago. It's nothing." She says but I can hear it in her voice that it's more than what she says it is.

"Something like that isn't nothing. Do you want to tell me what happened?" I ask her rubbing her shoulder.

"Well, it's a long story." She begins.

Y/n's *POV*

"When I was in college my best friend was in love with me. His name was Christian. I knew him since I was like seven. I loved him like a brother. Until I got a boyfriend and I was young and dumb, so he asked me to marry him. I said yes." I start.

"Wait. You were engaged?" He questions surprised.

"Yeah. Look I was nineteen and in love. Don't judge me." I laugh.

"Alright, whatever. Continue." He smiles.

"So the night before the wedding Christian payed me a vist." I continue my story.

*Flashback*

When my friend Jasmine drives away I immediately see Christian. Right across the street from my house. Why is he here?

"Y/n?" I hear him say.

I wave and he runs across the street to me.

"Y/n?" He calls my name stopping in front of me.

"Hey, Christian." I respond finally.

"I haven't seen you for a long time, where have you been and how are you?" He asks me.

"I'm great. I'm getitng married tommorow." I smile.

"Oh. Are you happy?" He asks me.

"Yes." I tell him.

"So what are you doing here?" I ask still curious.

"I was walking home." He answers.

I look around to see the snow on the ground and feel the cold chill in the air.

"You're walking home in December?" I ask.

"Well the cold never bothered me, plus I live a block away." He says.

"Oh." I say.

Wait. A block away. It will be awkward running into Christian. I know he still has feelings for me. So now we are technically neighbors. Great.

"Well I'm gonna go back inside. I'm getting cold." I say beginning to walk away.

"Can I walk you?" He asks me.
