Be my princess

Chapter 2

Marriage?! Father has to be kidding right?! Marriage for me now?! Please no! But if I object in public , then I will have to face consequences . It will make father look bad . And I will be a terrible daughter ; who will bring great shame to her family . I'm supposed to be good example for other princesses in training . That's what mothers tells me or what she used to tell me when she gave me princess lessons . I no longer need them since I am crowned princess now . " I will then ask the five princes to please step up front . " father spoke loudly . Claude gave father a scroll list , and father looked at it . 

" Crowned prince glenn casiraghi  of oriens please step up . " father said . Glenn walked to the front and stood tall , he must be a good prince to oriens . " Crowned prince edward levaincois of charles please step up . " father said . Edward walked to the front and stepped next to glenn and then stood tall and proud . " Crowned prince keith alford of liberty please step up . " father said . Keith took his stance and he walked to the front . He stood tall and proud next to edward , his arrogance showing proudly with a smug look on his face but his eyes showed no emotion .

" Crowned prince robert button of altaria please step up . " father said . Roberto walked to the front , stood on the other side of glenn and his usual playful smile was on his face . I could tell he was ready to laugh or chuckle or do anything fun . " And last but not least , crowned prince joshua lieben of dres van please step up . " father said lastly . I watched joshua's steps as he walked to the front , he strode proudly and in a princely manner . He stood next to roberto . His usual Mona Lisa smile plastered on his lips , but he stood tall and proudly .

" My dear christina , you will spend one week at each kingdom of these five . And then on the day of your birthday , you will choose one of these five princes to be your future husband . " father added . I kept my head down , looking at the floor beneath my feet . I can't do this . I can't choose , I just can't . He can't push this on me! Wilfred kept trying to get my attention , but I ignored him . I didn't expect this so soon . And how could I choose when they are all my friends? I will have to choose one and the rest will be mad at me . I don't want that .

I heard a click of someone's tongue in annoyance ; I lifted my head and there my eyes met with sparkling dark amethyst eyes . Joshua . His eyes read that I was in distress , he could always read that I was in distress . Always ; since we were kids . Joshua knows me better then anyone else , besides my brother . My father dismissed them , and then the party went on .

* Party ends / In philips throne room *

" But father you can't just throw this on me! It's too much pressure on me! I just got back! " I protested . " Christina listen to your father . " mother pleaded . " But I'm still too young and you can't just put this on me now! and I did just get back! Please , just give me another year or two! " I pleaded .
Father then slammed his fist down on his throne arm , and he cleared his throat . " Christina Maria Spencer! You will do as I say and obey! " he yelled . I shrunk down and I felt tears running down my eyes , I then ran out of the throne room and ran down the hall .

I ran to my room and slammed the door , I leaned on the door and cried . Why must he make me do this?! It's ridiculous! And as I walked to my bed , and sat on it there was a knock at my door . " Father if it is you , u don't wish to see you right now . " I said . " It's me , your brother , wils . " wilfred said . " Should I let you in? " I asked . " Yes you should . " he said . " Give me a reason why . " I said . " Because I'm your brother christina , and I know that when your upset or crying that you don't like to be alone . You want someone to be someone to be there with you , and to comfort you . " he reasoned .

I sighed . For he was right , wilfred always knew it . He came in , and closed the door . He sat next to me and brought me in for a hug , and he stroked my hair . I didn't know where this side of wilfred came , but I like it . He brought his slender fingers up to my cheeks and he wiped my tears ; he did the same to my eyes . He was so gentle . " I just can't go through with this wilfred , I just got back and he pushes this pressure of having to choose on me . Father doesn't think . " I cried into his chest .

" Christina , father is only wanting the best for you . And he would of given you more time if you had come back earlier ; but he hadn't realized that your tour was still going on . " wilfred said . " Well if he wants the best for me , then why is this his idea? " i asked . " Christina , look we all knew this was gonna happen sooner or later .  I'm gonna have to get married too you know? So your not the only one . " he said . " I know , but it's just too much pressure on me . " I said . " It's gonna be okay little sister , I promise it will . Besides you'll be getting to stay one week at each kingdom , so you'll probably already have your decision made then . " he said .

Yeah .... probably not . Cause I know myself and I won't probably have an answer . I sighed again , and wilfred chuckled . He knew what I was thinking already , I could just tell it . He knows me so well too . He let me go , but he wiped whatever tears were in my eyes . " Stay here , I'm gonna get a wet tissue to wipe your cheeks so they won't be sticky from your tears . " he said . He got up and went to my bathroom , I heard the sink on for a few seconds . Then he came back in , and he sat next to me again .

He then pressed get wet tissue against my right cheek , and he wiped away the tear trail . He then did it to the left , and did the same to under my eyes .
" There all better now . " he said . I smiled at him . I love my brother , he's so sweet and gentle . And he cares so much . " Thank you wilfred . " I said . " Your welcome , anything for you little sister . " he said . I smiled again and hugged him .

            * Later *

  " I don't know if I can handle this joshua . " I said . I was laying in my bed , talking to joshua . I could always talk to him when I was upset . " I'm sorry that he just put you on ya spot like that so fast . " joshua said " Oh it's fine , it's just ... I don't know if I'm ready for marriage . " I said . " Well I'm not pressuring you about picking anyone , you can pick anyone you want . as long as your happy , I'm happy and that's all that matters to me . " joshua said . I smiled ; I wish joshua could see it . " Well that's good to hear , at least I know one of you guys won't probably pressure me into choosing . " I said .

" So just a question . " he said . " What is it? " I asked . He went quiet for a while , I got a bit worried . " Um ... so hey which kingdom are you going to first? " he asked . " I'm not sure , father hasn't told me yet but I know I'm leaving tommorow though . " I said . " I hope it doesn't add pressure to you , but I hope my kingdom is the first you come to . " he said . I smiled .
I hope I go to dres van first too . I really want to see joshua first ; but I want to see the other princes too . I wish I could tell joshua though , it'd make him and me happy . " Well it's up to my father , but hope for the best . Maybe you'll be first . " I said .

" I'll hope for the best . " he said . I could tell he was smiling and happy . That makes me happy , knowing that he was happy too . I just wish I could see him smile . " Well I'm gonna head to bed , but I'll talk to you tommorow I promise . " I said . " Okay , I'll talk to you tommorow too . " he said . Before he could hang up ; I stopped him . " Wait joshua ... " I stopped him . " Yeah? " he asked . His tone .. held some emotion , but I could tell what it was . " Thanks for talking to me , I was so upset and I needed someone to talk to . Thanks for being there for me . " I said .

" Your welcome , I'm here anytime you need to talk . " he said . " I appreciate it , thanks for everything and I'll talk to you tommorow . Goodnight joshua . " I said . " Goodnight christina . " he said . I hung up and put my phone on the bed side table . A smile crept onto my lips , and my heart fluttered a little bit .

Maybe ... I won't have to make a choice after all?
