Misaffection

        * A few weeks later *

  " But joshua .. "" Christina I can't , I have to work . Please go so I can . " he said . I stood there , as I waited for him to come to his senses . Tears in my eyes , and he didn't seem to lift his eyes from the papers at all . I then left .. without a word said . Walking down the halls , I wiped my eyes trying to not mess up my makeup as much as I already had probably .  But suddenly ..

" Ow . " I rubbed my now aching side . Falling on my butt didn't help , but not looking where I was going didn't help either . I opened my eyes , and there was prince leonardo standing and his face agaped . He immediately helped me up , and I thanked him . " I'm so sorry princess christina , I guess I'm not looking a lot . " he said . " No it's fine , it's my fault . My eyes were kinds blurred so I didn't see . " I said .
He soon saw my eyes as I had said it , and his face now showed concern .
But he then grabbed my hand and took me down the hall , once we made it to a room he pulled us in . It was the guest room I stayed in when I was here for a week .

I sat on the bed , and he got a wet wipe for me . " Princess christina why have you been crying? " he asked . I turned my head , avoiding his eyes . Not wanting him to know really . Not that it was any of his business , but he shouldn't really ask . I sighed as I knew he wouldn't stop bugging me about it . " I .. it's joshua , he won't spend any time with me . He hasn't really since the second or third week of the wedding plans . " I said . My tears falling , and I just didn't care at the moment . " I don't think he loves me anymore . " I cried . I really did . I mean he didn't notice I had stopped sleeping in his room , or that we hadn't had tea at the same time anymore , or that I had moved my stuff in here , or that I was barely around him .

He barely even touched me . I was like a piece of paper thrown to the side , one that he didn't need anymore . And I had started to think a lot about this .
" I'm sure he does . " prince leonardo said . I know he's trying to make me feel better , but it's not really working . It's just making it worse really .. cause I know the real truth . I knew how things really were . " No he doesn't . He barely touches me , he doesn't speak to me at all , he doesn't spend time with me , and he doesn't notice me at all . " I cried more . Prince leonardo grabbed the wipe , and shushed me while wiping my tears .

With gentle movements .. he wiped them all away , and his soothed shushes calmed me down . And as it did my phone had buzzed . I picked it up , and went to my messages .

      Text messages

Sarah - Hey u busy?

Cynthia - We both thought we could all hang out today

Sarah - I'm off today

Cynthia - Me too

Sarah - So let's have a girls day

Cynthia - Yeah let's go out and maybe have lunch and then hang around dres van

Sarah - Plz chrissy! 😆

Me - Okay .. I'll meet you girls down at the small café in a few

I put my phone down , and prince leonardo smiled at me . " Maybe seeing your friends would help , it would get your mind off things . " he said . I smiled at him . He was right , maybe spending time with my friends would get things off my mind . Especially off joshua . And so he left the room and waited outside , and I changed into something more me .

   I brushed my hair again , and did a small ponytail with the left down part . I redid my makeup , and I walked out . At the door , there stood prince leonardo . He gave me a whistle . I giggled , and he chuckled . " May I walk you out princess? " he asked . Extending his arm towards me , I smiled and linked mine with his . " You may . " I said bowing a little . I may be a rebel .. but I can still be a princess at the same time . So he walked me out to the dres van gates , and he got me in the limo . But before I left , I hugged him and thanked him for everything .

             * In Dres van town *

  I walked up to the outside shady table that my friends were sitting at .
When sarah saw me she squealed , and she ran to me . She pulled me into a sarah hug and just about knocked me over . " Christina! " she squealed again . I smiled and hugged her back .
She then pulled me back to the table cynthia was at , and we all sat down .
" Chrissy you look good , showing off your rebel side? " sarah asked . " Yes , decided to not go out in anything formal . " I said . " Good for you , cause I'm being honest but I like this you better then the princess one . " cynthia asked . " Me too . " sarah agreed . " Me three and I'm both . " I grinned . We all laughed like it was nothing , and then we ordered three hot chocolates .

Dres van cafés were known for their famous hot chocolate , and I admit it was amazing . So after our drinks came , our food came too . " So he did what? " I asked cynthia . " He came in trying to all like 'yass I'm the director follow me' and I honestly didn't want to . And then as he was walking , he slipped on someone's spilt drink and he fell . He wasn't majorly hurt but he had a sore back . " she said . We and sarah laughed , it sounds funny . But then they both turned to me . " So .. how's your engaged life with joshua? " sarah asked . " Yeah , how's your 'special' thing? " cynthia asked after .

I felt the earlier feelings coming up , and I didn't feel like talking about it . But I had some thoughts . " I'm thinking of calling off the engagement . " I said looking away . They both gasped , and sarah took a spit take .
" What?! " they exclaimed . " B-B-But christina you can't! " cynthia reasoned . " Yeah , you just get engaged and a few weeks just call it off . " sarah said . " I can if I want , I have reasons . " I said . " What are they? " they both asked . " Well for one thing I don't think joshua loves me anymore . " I said . Sarah took another spit take . " Bull crap . " cynthia said .

" I agree with blondie . " sarah said .
" Christina he does love you , he does a lot . Just trust me on it when I say he does . " cynthia said . I guess she was trying to defend him , but I knew it was all lies . " I just met the guy and I know he does . " sarah said . " Well maybe he did , but maybe the spark went away . " I said . They both looked at me like I was crazy ; yeah right I know I'm not crazy . I know I'm not .
" Look christina you don't have listen , but just give him a chance . I know that he's busy and that he's probably not around as much . But he's trying to make dres van a safe place . " cynthia reasoned me . "  But I just want a little bit of time with him , it's all I ask . " I said .

" Chrissy you know we all get busy and can't always be there , I mean I'm gonna be going on tour soon after your wedding because I had to push it back . But I'm still busy . " sarah said .
" Me too , me and sarah are both busy but we make time for you . " cynthia said . " Just like joshua's doing . " cynthia added . I looked at my hands in my lap , maybe they were right . Maybe I was just over exaggerating about this . But maybe I wasn't . I don't know what to believe , but I ain't listening to my heart . Sarah listens to her heart a lot and she doesn't always achieve her goals .

  So I'm gonna try again .. I'll go to joshua's office and try again . And if not if , I'm calling off the engagement . And I'll go back to philips in the morning , or maybe I'll see uncle Mikey . To others he's known as Lord Michael , but he's my uncle mikey . Him and Zain are just so nice , and I really don't want my parents to know about calling it off . It would be a world wide disaster to my father , my mother not so much . But it'd ruin wilfred and joshua's friendship . And again I don't want that . " Okay .. I'll give him another try , but if he doesn't come to his senses then I'm calling it off . " I said .

Sarah and cynthia sighed in relief , and I sat back in my chair . " That's good , but just try please . " cynthia said . " I said I will , and don't tell any of this to roberto . He tells joshua about anything that involves me . " I said . " I promise I won't , at least I'll try not to . Cause I'm going over to visit him today , and I'm sure he's gonna want to know what happened today . " she said . " Well just makeup something . " i said . She sighed but nodded .
