Can things get worse?

  Prince wilfred was finishing things in his office , putting the done papers away . As he was putting them in a file .. claude came bursting through the doors . " Claude what's wrong? " wilfred asked . Wilfred had started to become a bit concerned as he saw claude's facial expression . " Your highness , it's princess christina . " claude said . Wilfred's heart sank as had started to worry even more .
'Please don't be hurt' wilfred thought again and again . " Spit it out claude tell me what's wrong . " wilfred said .
" Princess christina's been shot . " claude said .

Wilfred dropped to his knees and he felt his heart sank even more . His twin had been hurt? And under joshua's care! Wilfred was in tears but he was also infuriated! Was joshua not there to keep her safe?! Was he not watching her?! Where was joshua?! Wilfred grabbed his phone and dialed joshua's number . It rang three times and then he answered . " Wilfred hey I was about to cal - "" Joshua how could you! I left her under your care! Where were you when this happened! " wilfred yelled angrily . " Wilfred look I was there , we were walking to my car and sh -"" I don't want any damn excuses joshua! I left my sister in your care and you let her get hurt! You promised you'd protect her with your life! " wilfred yelled again .

Claude had told wilfred to calm down , to try and let joshua explain everything . But wilfred was mad . He didn't think he could trust joshua again , he was thinking of going to tell his father to let joshua out of the picking . But jan had taken over . " Listen prince wilfred look it was all an misunderstanding . Prince joshua tried to protect her , but princess christina had pushed him out of the way . She shielded him from the bullet . " jan explained . Wilfred started to calm down . Hearing this , he was no longer mad at joshua and had apologized .

He was now a bit upset with his sister , for doing such a reckless thing . He felt like he couldn't do a thing at all . He felt useless for once . But his baby sister was in trouble , she was hurt and needed him . But he was over seas and miles and miles from her . And his parents along with him were all busy with some town election about something at the time that they couldn't go to dres van . So he told joshua to keep him updated on her , and that to tell her he'd tried and come visit when he could .

      *  In Dres van hospital *

  " I'll tell her , and thanks for understanding . " a voice said . My eyes started to open , and I groaned from an awful soreness in my right side all the way up to my right side of my chest . But my right arm felt numb .. as if I couldn't move it . My vision had started to unblur and the first thing i saw was violet messy locks . I moved my head a bit as my neck felt stiff , closing my eyes groaning again . And as I finally felt it unstiffen , I opened my eyes and I saw clearly .
" Christina . " the voice said again . I turned my head and I saw joshua sitting next to me . His eyes filled with worry and uneasiness , his hand held my left hand .

" Joshua?.. Where am i? And why does everything feel numb and sore? " I asked . He looked away from me , his now guilty filled eyes avoiding my desperate ones . " Joshua where am i? What happened? I can't remember , it gives me a headache trying . " I said again . My head was already pounding at the start , and trying to remember just made it worse on me . " We're at the dres van hospital , we're here because you were shot . You pushed me out of the way and took the bullet yourself . " he said . Ah yes .. now it's coming back to me . Now I remember perfectly what happened .

      * Flashback *

So as we walked to the car , everything seemed fine at the time . But as joshua had opened my side of the car door ..

I felt like someone was watching us , like a more hateful glare then the calm gazes or glances from the people around us . I looked around as joshua was waiting for me to get in the car . Then I saw him .. a sniper in the bushes . Aiming right for joshua .

  Suddenly ..

I shoved joshua out of the way , and I screamed his name . " Joshua! " . Joshua fell and when he heard the gunfire , he looked at me as I felt the pain hit me immediately and I fell to the cement sidewalk . " Christina! " he screamed . The sniper ran , and joshua ran to me and held me in his arms . People started to surround us as joshua looked at me . I looked at him , my vision stirring from the street lamp above us . I was thinking 'Well crap .. what a reckless and stupid thing to do . But I had to protect joshua , I just had to or else there would of been a ruckus .'
People were taking pictures , videotaping us , and others were just watching . But at least some people had some sense . " Somebody call nine one one! " someone shouted . " Someone call the police! " someone said . One person grabbed their phone and dialed 911 , and the other one on my left sight dialed the dres van police .
" Hello this is nine one one , how can I help? "

" Yes someone just got hurt! Send an ambulance! "

" Where is the location? "

" In front of Blutrez in Dres van! "

" Okay an ambulance is on their way stay put . "

Joshua was still holding onto me , he got his phone and called jan . I could hear jan freaking out on his line , joshua was more worried then jan . When he ended the call , he grabbed his scarf that was in the car and folded it and applied pressure with it on my right side . I felt the blood just pouring from me , and my body heat was leaving me minute by minute . But yet it still felt hot . Joshua was speaking to me , but it kinda felt like my ears were going deaf . But I looked up at him and saw tears in his eyes , ad they ran down his cheeks .

" Christina just stay with me , your gonna just fine . Stay awake , you have to stay awake . " joshua said . Joshua was crying? Over me? This is new . I'd never ever seen joshua crying .. ever . He was always the usual stone cold emotionless face wearer . I only ever saw a few of his emotions , but not all of them . In the distance I could hear police sirens and ambulance sirens .
People moved out of the way , and soon the paramedics found us . They grabbed me and got me on the stretcher .

      * Flashback ends *

  " Joshua I'm sorry . " I apologized . He looked at me suprised , I was confused a bit . " For what? It was my fault for not protecting you , I feel like wilfred won't see trust me alone with you again . " joshua sighed . I giggled a bit , but then I winced as I panted a bit . Okay .. don't try laughing , it only hurts me worse . " It's okay , I just have to tell him it was my fault . " I said . " Oh he already knows , I had just called him to let him know and he exploded on me . " joshua said . I held in my giggle , and apologized again .
" I'm sorry for letting him do that , it's just he's really over protective when it comes to me getting hurt . " I explained .

" Oh he made that nice and clear , I think he may of busted one of my eardrums . " he said sarcastically . I bit my lip to keep in the next giggle , I wanted to laugh at his somewhat jokes . Even if they weren't meant to be jokes . " So .. how bad is it? " I asked . " Oh not too bad , they only had to have you in surgery to get the bullet out and then try and fix a nerve . " he said . " Be more explanatative . " I said . " They had to surgically remove the bullet , since it didn't come out when you were hit . You lost a lot of blood so there had to be a transfer and donation , and the bullet had hit a nerve in your system which was your arm so they had to try and fix it . But they're not sure your arm will work again , so they said to keep it in a sling and watch it just in case it works again . " joshua explained again .

I felt like crying . I wouldn't have the use of my right arm anymore? But there could also be the chance that it works again , so was I to worry as much? No . Maybe . Maybe not as much . I mean this was the consequences of my actions , but hey it's what I get for taking a risk . But hopefully I'm lucky .
