Loneliness is my least favorite thing about life. The thing that I'm most worried about is just being alone without anybody to care for or someone who will care for me - Anne Hathaway

Bryan POV

"Leah ---" I mumble as I open up my eyes slowly.

"Are you okay, son?" My father was standing beside me with a worried expression plastered all over his face.

Hurm. That's new. He never shows that kind of face to me. Not even once.

"I'm okay. Where's Leah?" I ask. My voice was hoarse like someone had rubbing sandpaper at the back of my throat.

"The Bond have her." He replies.

"I --- I --- need to go and see her." I pull out the IV drip on my hand and trying to get myself up from the hospital's bed.

My feet wobble and I fall down on my knees.

"Urgh. Shit. I need to go." I groan as I prep myself to the chair next to me trying to get myself up on my two feet. But it's useless. I'm too weak to stand up.

"Bryan. Just stop struggling. Leah already in Raleigh, and we are still in Maldives. You had been comatose for the entire week. I'm worried about you." He hugs me for the first time. I'm utterly confused. Is he really the same ruthless Golden Dragon of the Lee's Empire? He didn't seem to act like one.

William Lee was known as a ruthless, sadistic and unmerciful type of person. He never care about anyone else other than his own self. He never bother to have any kind of relationship with anybody even with his own wife and son. He just gave us a shelter and pampered us with money. That's all. Nothing's more. Even when my mom left and living separately from him, he didn't give a damn about it. He just said 'Oh' and never bother to ask why.

I lean myself back on the bed while clutching on my torso. The gunshot's wounds. It's really painful.

"It was a miracle that you survive the gunshots. All of them had missed your vital organs just by centimeters. You are very lucky." He sighs as he cups his forehead and props his elbows on my bed.

"I --- I can't afford to loose you too." He whispers.

I gawk as I hear he says those words. Did he really mean it? Did William Lee had become softhearted? I look at him in disbelieve.

I smile as I pat his shoulder and say,

"I'm still alive, am I? So stop worrying about me. Let's get out from here and go home. I miss my own bed and my newly wed wife."

He chuckles.

"Yeah. Let's get you out from here. I'm dying to leave this deserted island for so long. I miss my Robin." He blushing and smiling when he blurts out about Robin.
