Their worlds had collided
And in an instant,
His light had leaked into her world.

THE COLLISION

Well I'm a drop of red
And I'm running down this sheet
And I'm almost at the end
I have cold feet

Behind me I leave a trail
Of my color, like I'm proud
I'm a color that stands out
I'm different in the crowd

But wait! What's that there
It looks like a drop of blue!
I couldn't believe my eyes
It was too good to be true

I could see it screaming
As it came towards its end
It was like me, a drop of paint
But now it was like a friend

And as we got closer
Our eyes finally met
We were almost near our end
It's as close as we could get

And then suddenly the sheet was turned
And I started sliding towards the blue
I knew that this would end bad
An ending like very few

I was the color of royalty!
I couldn't die this way
I wondered what I would become
A dull black or grey

And I sighed and I cried
As I slid towards the blue drop
And trust me I tried my hardest
To put my sliding to a stop

But obviously that didn't happen
And the blue drop and I collided
And I closed my eyes not wanting to see
Anything other than my trail of red

But after some time I opened my eyes
To see a line of purple paint
I couldn't believe my eyes
I was about to faint

It was such a beautiful color!
I had merged with the blue
To become an amazing color
One like so few

And so we slid on
Painting the most beautiful picture
One that would with pride
Be hung on a wall fixture

And I realized that the blue
Brought out the best in me
And that without that blue drop
I wouldn't have reached my true beauty

Sometimes people change you
Only to make you the best
So merge with all the colors you want!
Don't even think about the rest
