Fox

About a week after Lily broke up with me, I started to notice the first year girls staring at me. And some second years.

"Am I really that attractive?" I thought to myself. I was in the library studying and it was Saturday, so I wasn't wearing my Hogwarts robes. I was wearing a tank top and trying to hide my embarrassment as some girls were staring at me. I guess I hadn't noticed them before since I was preoccupied with trying to please Lily. At least I know she still likes me, the streak in her hair hasn't changed at all.

"Apparently so," Lily answered me.

"Did I say that out loud?" I question.

She snorts, "Naw," she says, holding out the 'a'.

I look down at my arms. "I suppose I have gained a little muscle since the summer."

Lily snorts again. "A little... it looks like you're on steroids for crying out loud! Now stop thinking out loud and let me finish my potions essay!"

Some of the girls in the room snicker and I glare back at them. Once Lily finishes the potions essay, I walk her all the way up to Ravenclaw tower.

"See you later," I tell her.

"See you la- Fox?"

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for understanding."

"No problem."

She smiles. "Also, we have a meeting with River and Louis Monday at 19:00 in the room. See you then."

And with that, she closes the door, leaving me to trudge all the way to the dungeons.

"Pureblood," I say and walk in drowsily.

I avoid the stares of basically, all the girls in the common room, heading upstairs to flop on my bed and fall asleep immediately.
