"You are so going down Dager." He snarled. I smiled.
"Let's make a bet then." I said.
"What kind of bet?" He asked.
"Simple enough, we flip a coin for twenty bucks. Who ever wins get to flip the coin." I said.
"Heads or tails?" He asked me. I smiled at his question.
"Heads I win, tails you loose." I said.
"You're so going down Dager." He said.
"Sure I am. Hope you have my cash." I said right before the whistle blew.
We all pounded for the ball. I grabbed it right before Sean did and ran for it. I ran through a few people, and made it across the line before I was tackled to the ground by Sean.
"I'm not loosing that money." Sean snared at me.
"Oh yeah you are." I told him. We played until the time ran up. 4-2.
After the game I met up with Sean.
"My money?" I asked.
"I see your trick now. You would have won ether way." He said. I shrugged. He slapped twenty dollars in my hands. "Until next time." He said, then he walked back to his own team. I went the locker rooms, taking a shower and putting on some better smelling clothes. I went outside to meet Dad and Isaac.
"That was great!" Isaac called to me when he saw me. "You really took it from Sean this time!" I smiled at Isaac and ruffled my little brother's hair. Isaac was always ready to call my mistakes out and tell me the good things. He was like a mini personal coach.
"Your going to get so many scholarship offers for football!" My dad said as he hit my arm. His eyes told me how happy he was.
"Yeah, but I might want to go into doctoring." I told him.
"Pfffft not with skills like that you can't." Dad insisted.
"Yeah he can, cause if he has just a small injury, he's done for. Besides he wants to go into doctoring." Isaac argued. Both Dad and Isaac argued daily about this topic, as if I wasn't there. I realize they think that their choice is the best, but after all it's my career.
"Guys, it's not your choice." I told them.
"You're right." Dad said.
"Sorry." Isaac apologized. We walked over to the car and got in, Dad started driving towards the opposite direction from home.
"Where we going?" I asked him.
"Ice cream of course." Dad said.
