I wish I could say I got something done that day. Like apologize to Isaac. Call my dad. Figure out what happened the day before. Nothing of that part was done. I didn't apologize to Isaac. I didn't call my dad. I didn't figure out what happened the day before.
However, I did sleep a lot. Isaac gave me some sort of food, maybe some medicine there too during the day. I didn't really pay attention to what he gave me, I just shoved the stuff in my mouth. I threw up shortly afterwards. I drank some water. Then I threw up again. I went through a few t-shirts all in one day. Then I took another nap.
"Let's go to the park, it'll be fun." She begged me.
"I have homework to do, we can't go now. Ask Isaac." I told her, not even looking up from the worksheet I was working on.
"Isaac said he'll go if you go." She told me.
"Well then we're not going." I snapped.
"Please West?" She begged. Then I made the mistake of looking up. I looked into those big pleading eyes of hers. How could I say no to her? I couldn't. I honestly couldn't. Dad always jokes that she has me wrapped around her little finger. Truth be told, though I won't admit it, he's right. She can get me to do pretty much anything. Usually within reason. I stood up, and grabbed my sweatshirt that was resting on the back of my chair.
"Go grab your coat." I told her. A huge smile grew on her face.
"I'll tell Isaac to get ready!" She cried.
"But no more than an hour!" I cried out, but she was already out of the room, sprinting to wherever Isaac was.
"We went to the park Isaac." I mumbled.
"We went there many times."
"We went with her."
"I know."
"She loved the park."
"She loved going there with us." He reminded me.
"She wouldn't go by herself." I mumbled.
"No, she never did."
"Let's go to the park. Go tell her to grab her coat." I mumbled.
"You know I can't do that." Isaac told me softly.
"No we have to." I insisted.
"But we can't." Isaac kept pushing.
"We just need to find her coat." I told him.
"Just sleep West." Isaac told me.
"Will you look for the coat?" I mumbled.
"I'll look for the coat." Isaac told me.
"Good." I mumbled. "I promised I would bring her to the park." I muttered softly.
"You made a lot of promises." Isaac said, but this time coldness slipped into his voice. I broke promises. To Isaac. To Dad. But how?
Oh yeah. I was here now.
