“Logan! Mom said that if you don’t get up I can jump on you!” Lily squealed as she jumped on my back. I hate little sisters.

“FINE! I’M UP!” I yelled grumpily. “Now get out of here, unless you wanna see what’s under the sheets… cause there’s… let’s see… NOTHING.”

“Ewww!” then Lily ran out of the room. Okay, I bluffed. I had my boxers on obviously, but I had to say something so I could get changed. Believe me, if my sister had a choice, she’d follow me around all day. I grabbed some jeans I found on my floor, and a t-shirt, and then changed into them, and then walked casually out of my bedroom.

“Good morning honey. I made breakfast. You need to leave in about ten minutes. Good luck today!” My mom said. It’s my first day at Driftwood High, and she made her famous “have a great day at a new school” pancakes.

“Okay, thanks.” I said as I grabbed a pancake and wrapped a sausage in it. Lily was eating her cereal, and had her eyes glued to the TV. “Mom I’m gonna leave a little early, so that I can find all my classes.”

“Good idea.” She replied. I walked out to my car, a 2002 Honda Accord sedan. It was a little rusty, but it ran, which was good enough for me. At least until I got my Thunderbird in the garage fixed. I shoved my backpack in the passenger seat, and started it. I continued to eat my pancake as the car was heating up.

It was 7:20 as I pulled out of my driveway. I saw the neighbor grabbing his paper with his usual open robe and slippers morning attire. Ew. I need to remind myself to leave earlier tomorrow.

“Alright… space 722…” I said as I read the slip of paper with my class info and parking spot number. I found it in about five minutes, but right when I was about to pull in, I had to slam on my brakes. There was a beautiful 1964 blue Mustang that pulled right into the spot next to mine. I had expected some ignorant jock to get out of the car, but no. Two girls got out of this shiny car, one has really dark brown hair, and she got out from the passenger side. She looked too thin, and she seemed catty. I didn’t like her. The other girl was mesmerizing. She had light brown hair, and she looked like she worked out, because her body was amazing. She had on jeans, which showed off her butt and legs, and a purple low cut t-shirt. Huh, a beautiful car for a beautiful girl.

“Got a problem?” The thin one remarked. Finally, someone had done something to snap me out of this trance, because I could have gazed dreamily at that girl all day. I was right about one thing though, I did not like that thin girl.

“Zoey, chill out.” The girl whispered to her friend. I thought I should make this less awkward and say something now.

“Why, I don’t believe I have a problem, well, other than you cutting me off right before I was going to pull into my spot.” I smirked. “But I’m sure we could come to some sort of a compromise…” I trailed off as I scanned her body again, making it obvious I was. The light brown haired girl huffed and rolled her eyes. There was no way I was going to let myself look like an idiot again. The power had to be restored. Both girls slammed their car doors shut, and steamed off. I chuckled as I pulled into my spot. I closed my car door shut, and let out a deep breath as I looked at my new school.

“Well hello Driftwood High, prepare to meet Logan Hunt.”
