On the way home after dropping Logan off at his car, I start to replay what just happened over in my mind. I actually had a really nice time with him today. We went to McDonald's, and sat across from each other. I laughed at him while he slurped his Coke noisily. We talked about Zoey, and just a little bit about Owen. Not too much information though. We talked about how well he's fitting in here. It was an overall, nice time. As friends.
I hope this all goes well though. This whole friends thing might be tough. Especially after that weird feeling I got when he touched my leg. Is it possible to ignore something like that.
Logan can be a really great guy, if he actually lets people see the true him. I wish he'd open that up more. Then we'd get along a lot better.
I get home and lay in bed, letting the exhaustion consume me, with my music playing softly in the background. I hear the familiar beep of my phone when I get a text message. It's from Logan.
L: Hey
A: Oh hey Logan! What's up?
L: I jus wanted 2 say that I had fun hangin out nd I wanted 2 kno if u want 2 c a movie this weekend
A: I did too, and yeah sure(: what movie?
L: Ill find somethin
A: Really? Alright, well thanks!
L: Friday?
I had Owen's concert on Saturday. So Friday night would work perfectly.
A: Friday sounds perfect. Time?
L: hows 8? Ill pick u up
A: 8 sounds great. See you then :)
Alrighty then. I'm going to a movie with Logan. On Friday night. At 8. As friends. Keep it cool Avery. Just as friends.
It's not like I'm doing anything wrong. Logan and I are friends. Nothing else going on as far as I'm concerned. It wouldn't work as a relationship anyway. He's too stubborn and arrogant. And... attractive... and those eyes... I would die for those eyes.... UGH. STOP. No. FRIENDS AVERY. F-R-I-E-N-D-S. FRIENDS. Fuck. This is going to be harder than I thought.
