By the time we got back to my house, I was exhausted, and Lily was asleep in the backseat. It was around eight o'clock, and my mom wasn't back yet. I guess I had to put Lily to bed... again.

I walked around the car, and opened Lily's door. I unbuckled her and put her in my arms, while Avery shut the car door. I got my keys out and unlocked the door, and whispered instructions to Avery where she should put Lily's stuff. I put Lily in her bed, and put her in her pajamas, she mumbled and groaned a little bit, but she eventually fell back into a deep sleep. I tucked her in, put her bear next to her, and kissed her on the forehead. When I turned around I noticed Avery was standing in the door way, leaning against the frame, with her arms crossed. She was looking at me admirably, with a huge smile across her face. I hate to admit it, but damn... she looked sexy. She looked like a bad ass with her hair wet and wavy, her black bikini top, and her white board shorts. Leaning on the door frame looking tall and slender... God. Well this wasn't fair at all.

“What?” I said with a smile.

“Oh nothing... you're just a good big brother.” She said back, then walked away.

“Do you wanna stay a little bit? Maybe watch a movie?” If mom hasn't come back home yet, then that means she's working until ten. Two hours to mess around with Avery and her emotions... Fun.

“Um, I don't know, I would have to ask...”

“Can you?”

“I guess...” then she walked away and pulled out her phone. She was on the phone for about five minutes, then walked back over to me. “Yeah, I can.”

“Cool. What movie do you wanna watch?” Then I walked over and showed her our shelves packed of movies.

“Um, anything. Doesn't matter.”

“Okay.” I picked out Friday the 13th, and I had a secret plan. She'd be jumping into my arms and I would take complete advantage of it.

“Is it okay if I change really quick?” Avery asked uncomfortably.

“Sure, bathroom is down the hall, second door on the right.” I replied. Then she walked out to her car, and came back in a few seconds with her bag, then disappeared down the hall. A few minutes later she reappeared wearing yoga pants, and a low cut tank top. I already had the movie started, and popcorn made. She must have reapplied make-up, and brushed her hair out, because she looked like new. She sat down next to me, put her bag on the floor, and pulled out her phone. I saw her look at a couple texts, then sigh. She didn't even reply to the texts before putting her phone away.

My plan was working... almost perfectly. She kept jumping, but not into my arms. She was scared, but didn't turn to me for comfort. It made me aggravated. This always works. What the hell?! I'm not okay with this. She kept on proving that she wasn't like other girls. I liked it, but I hated it at the same time. She was proving to be a challenge.
