Owen looks over my shoulder at the text messages between Logan and me. He has some down time between songs at band practice, so I guess in his mind it means be super nosy and possessive.

“Can I help you?” I ask with a hint of bitchiness.

“Sorry. Just curious. I thought it was Zoey or something,” he plays.

“Ok?” I give him a little bit of attitude with that. He needs to chill out. He backs off, but still stays close. Aggravating.

“So who do you think sent you that valentine?” Owen questions.

“I don't really know Owen. Nor, do I understand why you can't just drop it.”

“Okay, okay! Sorry...”

“It was probably just some joke anyway Owen.”

“Well I hope so. I can't have anyone stealing my girl away,” he says as he pulls me close. Normally, I would think that that was adorable, but right now it just annoys me. Like I'm suffocating and can't breathe. I play along, but leave his arms in a minute. I go to sit down on the couch and he follows me to rub my shoulders. I relax at his touch, but stiffen up at the same time. What is going on right now? I'm all mixed up. Even my body can't seem to get it right. “So you're hanging out with Logan again tomorrow?”

“Yep,” I say flatly.

“And you're gonna help him fix his car?”

“Yeah.”

“What type of car?”

“A 69' Thunderbird. Why the interview?”

“Just curious. You guys have been spending a lot of time together lately.”

“So? It's nice to have guy friends.”

“You already have guy friends.”

“You and your friends. Not really mine Owen. Are you done, or are you keep going to play this facade?” I'm really starting to get agitated with him now.

“What?”

“Obviously Logan bothers you, and obviously you think it's him who sent me the valentine. So what if he did? You're the one who got me. Can't you just calm the fuck down?!” By this time, I'm standing up in front of him, my fists are clenched, and my voice is raised. “I'm tired, I have homework to do, and I'm leaving. Ask John or Chris to be your ride home.” Then I turn, and walk away.
