Jackie cheered, throwing little white pieces of paper over Rose and the Doctor, who were both grinning and staring at each other. Mickey smiled behind Jackie, although a piece of him tore at the sight of the two married. A few of Rose's friends congratulated the two. The Doctor never let go of Rose's hand.
After the hubbub died down, they headed to the TARDIS, saying their goodbyes. Rose hugged Mickey and her mum, the rest of the crowd having left as they couldn't see the TARDIS leave. As soon as the door squeaked closed, Rose and the Doctor started laughing, staring into one another's eyes.
"I can't believe we did that. Got married!" Rose exclaimed, with a giggle. She walked ahead of the Doctor, twirling in her short wedding dress.
The Doctor watched from where he leaned against the doors. "Best decision I have ever made." Rose smiled at him as she came to a stop, tucking a lose strand of hair behind her ear.
The Doctor shifted his weight forward, approaching the beauty. She smiled as he took her hands in his.
"So, we've done your human traditions for a wedding. But I have in mind a Time Lord tradition. Most marriages on Gallifrey were arranged for optimal value and upward movement. But we had quite the wedding traditions..." His voice trailed off, letting Rose wonder what the tradition he was referencing was. She bit her lip as she waited.
He cleared his throat, blinking his eyes as if to clear himself of something. He took a step back and swept his hand through his hair. "Anyways. We can get around to that tradition later. For now, let's go get our pictures taken by the best photographer in the universe!"

The next day, the Doctor and Rose began their honeymoon tour of the universe. Which wasn't much different than their normal travels except the Doctor was showing Rose his favourite locations.
"Now for the one of the best beaches in the universe... In Jamaica!" The Doctor grinned, flipping a lever which threw the two to the floor, the Doctor on top of Rose. Rose blushed as the Doctor winked at her, then jumped up.
"Jamaican beaches have the most beautiful views." The Doctor was saying as he walked to the door backwards. However, when his feet landed in sand, he realised this was not the beach he had meant to land on. Rose pushed past him, running ahead of him. "Rose, wait!"
Then the gunfire started.
