it started a couple of weeks ago, you looked in the mirror and all you saw was the rolls on your body. you kept whispering to yourself under your breath as you saw you huge body in the mirror.
you're fat
you'll never be perfect
why can't you be slim like the other girlsyour self esteem was dropping by the minute and you started to eat less and less food everyday, to the point where you thought water would make you gain weight.
you had to stop going out with friends and family because they'd practically force you to eat and because of that, you've now got no friends and you now live with your parents.
It doesn't help that there's this one person in school who doesn't forget to remind you of how disgusting you look; jeon jungkook.
"oh god, she's practically taking up the whole corridor with her rolls" he says leaning against his locker. everyone bursts out laughing and you go red in embarrassment.
"go hit a treadmill you pig, don't break it though" he snickers.
you run away to the toilets and hide in one of the cubicles.
that's it. you thought. you couldn't stand living like this anymore. of course you knew suicide wasn't the answer because you still had your parents to live for and once this shitty school was over, you can just move away.
however, you wanted to become happier as a person now.
every day in the school holidays, at about 2am, you'd hit the gym. you didn't want anyone seeing you, so the 24-hour gym was perfect.
It was empty and quiet, except for a couple of workers practically falling asleep.
you worked yourself till you dropped on the floor. you had the best night sleep in over a year because you was so exhausted.
It's weird, even though you still didn't look healthy, after going to the gym made you feel nice inside.
this routine happened for about 2 weeks and you started eating a bit healthier as well. It was hard, but it was worth it; not only did you feel happy, but you felt confident.
It was the last day of the holidays, you looked in the mirror and saw what you always wanted to see; a slim figure.
all your clothes were too big , so you gave them to charity and went out shopping for your new clothes.
It was fun; you didn't have to feel humiliated when you asked for help finding an xl top only to discover they didn't have your size.
you spent practically all your money that day. you walked past the salon and made the decision to change your hairstyle since you had changed your body as well. you walked in with your boring unhealthy, long hair and came out with a modern look. (see picture below)
finally, it's the day you've been dreading for the past week; the first day of school.
will they think low of me?
will they like me now?you get ready and get changed in your brand new outfit and leave your hair flowing. you feel nervous because you didn't know how'd people would react.
you wore this outfit to school. before your transformation, you wouldn't dare go out in ripped jeans because your fat would just squeeze out of them and it looked disgusting, but now, they looked perfect on you.
you leave your house and head to school, as you head towards the front entrance you hear whispers already and people pointing in your direction.
woah is that y/n?
she looks cute
how did she lose weight so fast?you smile at the compliments and head towards your locker, until a hand smashed it close. you looked to you right and see jungkook with a smirk on his face.
"woah, y/n you look so good today. you actually listened to my advice and went to the gym, I think I should get credit for this transformation" he whispered in your ear.
your blood boiled from anger, how could he think he was solely responsible for your hard work? you put your blood, sweat and tears into this look and he's done nothing to help you, besides bringing your self esteem down.
you're not going to let anyone who was horrible to you have the chance to be your friend, who do they think they are? people are so fake.
you slap jungkook across the face, all this gym work must've made you strong as well, since he went tumbling to the floor. you look down at his scared face.
"that's payback for everything you've said, now I would appreciate if you would leave me alone, I won't let someone walk all over me."
